a day late, but a good time for an update
Well, i'm quite sorry lj citezns for missing my unofficial weekly update (fridays). There is good reason though my faithful few. Believe what you will, I had a date last night. Yes a real live WOMAN as a date. You may remember me speaking of her (Rebekah) in an earlier update. Well, we both wanted to hang out at some point in time this weekend, so friday afternoon she called and asked me if I wasn't busy and if i wanted to hang out. Yes, of course i replied. So we decided to go downtown and have a dinner and what not. We proceeded to go to Chili's on the 16th mall. (I had a $20 gift card that i got from mrs. Johnson) I had the montery chicken and she had some burger. It was nice, we chatted and ate and laughed. After dinner, (which only cost me $2, she picked up the tip, against my wishes) we walked down the mall to the movie theater. We decided to watch "Starsky and Hutch". Against her wishes, i paid. duh. It was a really funny movie, Stiller and Wilson team up quite well in my opinion. We sort of chatted through the movie, held hands a bit. 0=) So after the movie, back to the car and back home. We hung out here for a bit watching late night television and sitting together. Finally just before 1am she had to go home cause her parents thought she was drunk and all. No worries, we'd been together since about 7pm.
Today after sleeping till 11am she phoned and since she hadn't gone skiing I decided to go pick her up and bring her here for a while before she had to ship off to work. We watched "the devil's own" and some of the hockey game. I drove her home after that.
I wonder if it's bad for me to be telling the live journal community all this. I would like you people's opinion on that. Is it bad manners to tell in some detail of one's date? Be it okay or bad, this was technically my first Dinner and a movie date ever i believe. I enjoyed it a lot, but i think that had most to do with the company i was with.
The rest of my week was alright, worked on friday after my fam left on thursday. Tomorrow is church and then relaxing i think. Monday evening we're playing at The D-Note in olde town Arvada. I have lots of work monday through thursday. A week from tomorrow is the Battle of the Band's final. We heard some of the names of the bands we're playing against, e.g. "stratus" "atlas" "phobaphobia" and other intresting sounding bands. It should be fun, hopefully not too much metal i hope, but i doubt i'll get my wish. I'm looking foward to tomorrow. I think i'll end up liking her too much, but from what i can deduce, granted my powers of deduction when in regards to women is somewhat lacking, she is more than midly in to me. But i'm playing it hard to get, but not too hard to get. :) Takes all my self control not to try and make a move on her. I'm playing this one straight though.
alas I shouldn't be speaking of this to foreigners anyways, and people i don't even know. I worked out today. laters
