I remember his popularity battle with George Carlin way back when. I recall Pryor talking about it later in his life and making the comment about Carlin's heart attack. "Fuck that, I set myself on fire."
Sad day, but then multiple sclerosis had diminshed his mobility. Still, he faced it with his usual comedic cover-up. "That Nigger's Crazy", and he always will be, but for a home boy from Illinois, you done good, my man. Rest peacefully now and thank you for the laughs and insights you brought through your comedy.
