Its my (second) try on chapter fanfics, and I'm really bad at keeping up at chapter fics, so do pardon me! x.

SLOW UPDATES. Really sorry for this, but its hard to manage between fanfics and homeworks/projects/test for my graduating year!

CHAPTER THREE

“My lord, we should turn back... Chichi-ue wouldn't be pleased to know that his only son is inside here!” Yunho pleaded insistently, a totally different side from his usual serious self that could simply take out a strong samurai with the back of his sword. Junhyung simply dug a finger into his ear, obviously uncaring.

“Woahh, I didn't know that it looked so luxurious in the inside as well!”

“My lord!”

“Shush, Yunho! Besides, you are interested in something here, aren't you?”

There was no response from the taller male beside Junhyung, except for a slightly red face. Junhyung smirked knowingly, folding his arm behind his back. Dongwoon though, seemed to be the one with the most composure, as though he had known Soom at the back of his hand.

The entrance was decorated with lights that glow prettily around the building, with the petals of the cherry blossoms around the rock steps and small bonsai trees perched upon the finest wood work.

Not bad, Junhyung thought. Entertainment houses are meant to be classy alright. A few 1) maikos are already standing at the entrance, already waiting to serve their first customers. There are several geishas standing around as well, guiding the new trainees.

Interestingly, the usual thick white make up was not seen on the geishas or the maikos unlike traditional entertainment houses. Junhyung's eyebrow remained raised high at that. Did the books he read gave him wrong information? Nudging Dongwoon in the ribs in a very unrefined way, Junhyung decided to satisfy his curiosity verbally.

Before Dongwoon could reply, there was a light chuckle. Three heads turned to the source of the noise, and before them stood a entrancing male. His hair was blushed red, donned up with simple jewels and hairpins due to the outstanding color.

His eyes were big and round, nose small and sharp and with thin lips. The way how he had laughed, his curved crescent eyes was just simply adorable.

“That is because, this is Soom.” His voice was just as equally adorable, almost akin to a dolphin. And dolphins were rare creatures. It was said that if you could see a dolphin, you are blessed with luck and health for the whole year.

Junhyung and Dongwoon both looked a little flustered at the male's amusement, but Yunho wasn't bothered. It wasn't as though this young geisha wasn't beautiful. But the male he saw the past few weeks ago was pure angelic.

No one could compare to him.

“Where are my manners? I'm Xiah, my lords.” With that, Xiah tipped his head, his knee bent a little to give a bow. He was delicate and graceful in his earthy kimono, with butterflies and shades of green, yellow and red all over.

Dongwoon and Junhyung gave hasty bow as well, obviously not used to this treatment due to their virgin experience in an entertainment house. Yunho however, was calm as he had visited many other entertainment houses before with Junhyung's father as a guard.

A small smirk grew on Junsu's face. The male at the back of the two lords was definitely a trained warrior to serve his family, and to take care and train the son of the lord he was serving.

He was tall, quiet and a man of more actions than words, Junsu could tell. And a man like that was definitely perfect for Jaejoong. It was absurd, a man of 22 already and still not given his heart to someone that could stand Jaejoong's fiery temper.

Junsu had never tried matchmaking before, but from the day when he had seen Yoochun from afar while Tono was choosing warriors to protect the geishas, from the day when Jaejoong had noticed his heart wandering and led him to have Yoochun as his servant was the day when Junsu swore to find Jaejoong's half as well.

As a geisha, Junsu knew that he had to dance, sing, play instruments and even go as far as entertaining the customers with his body. But he would only stop strictly at selling his talents. Some of the more demanding customers wouldn't listen, but Yoochun would protect him anyway.

A swift presence was behind Junsu suddenly, and his smile only widened. Junhyung and Dongwoon immediately shrank back at the intimidating glare the other male gave from the back of Xiah.

Yunho did not let go of the stare, his hand positioned on his own Odachi in case of any threats to his young master. Xiah immediately waved his fingers, his head already in a low bow. The male behind him lowered his gaze, though his anger was apparently and still burning.

“Accept my apologies, my lords. He is my protector, Yoochun. We have protectors around us to protect us from unruly customers all of the time. It is the rule of Soom.”

Junhyung gave a nervous chuckle, the dangerous aura Yoochun obviously getting to him. “Its alright. I'm not bothered.” Xiah bowed again. “Thank you for the understanding. How can I help you, my lords?”

Yoochun twitched, but his face was passive once again. Junhyung's own eyebrow twitched at the sight. Only a warrior for a geisha, and yet so protective. He could tell that Yoochun would throw his life away from Xiah if he needed to.

However, the second sentence that Xiah had murmured got Junhyung's brain cells running fast. They were in an entertainment house! What can they do?!

Once again, Xiah hid a light chuckle.

“Would you like a dancer to accompany you through the night? Or someone to pluck the strings of the 2) shamisen as they sing for you?”

Junhyung covered his blush with a cough, his inexperience in visiting entertainment houses definitely showing. “We would like a dancer. The price is not a problem.” Dongwoon interjected. Xiah smiled once again.

A rich one, to bag. Jaejoong better grovel under his 3) tabi later.

“If you would follow me, I will lead you to your room.”

“Aah.”

Since they did not specify for any geisha, it would be alright for Junsu to choose for them. As he turned around, he caught Yoochun's gaze and gave him a tiny smirk. Yoochun looked taken aback, but his look pointedly told Junsu to tell him everything later.

While walking up the stairs to the second level, Junhyung let his gaze roam about. Indeed, there are many other geishas and servants as well. The geishas had their faces as bare as day, with minimum make up or none at all. Weren't geishas supposed to have thick make up, with a white base to begin with? He would ask Yunho later.

Finally coming to a stop at a room in the far end, Xiah stepped to his left and slid the paper door open with his head down. Unlike other paper doors that was white, this one had flowers painted on it, with birds all around.

More specifically, nightingales and cherry blossoms.

Junhyung and Dongwoon blinked eyes of curiosity.

“Please enter, my lords.” The room was dark, but there was a candle lit at the far end of the room. The curtain was not pulled away, but there were two figures behind the translucent cloth.

Xiah only entered after the three of them had entered, Yoochun following behind. Removing his own 4) zori , Xiah stepped onto the tatami mat before giving a bow with his body. Yoochun stood aside, along with the three other curious souls.

“Nightingale, Hero. May you dance and flock around to satisfy the curiosity of these gentle souls.” One would have gasped at the audacity of Junsu's language to refer their customer in such a disrespectful way, but Junhyung and Dongwoon didn't mind it.

They were, in a way, curious souls after all.

“As a celebration for the Cherry Blossom festival, we have Nightingale and Hero as our best not only due to their skills, but also that it is their special month. Soom's precious gems are before you, my lords. I shall ease you of my presence now.”

Xiah bowed again, before sliding into his zori and leaving the room with Yoochun. The paper door slid close, and two pairs of eyes just stared at each other, obviously lost. Yunho was about to say something, when a voice interrupted them.

One of the figures shifted. “Young curious souls, indeed. Should I take the initiative first, my lords?” It was soft and gentle, but yet it held power. “That would be favorable.” Junhyung called out, his eyes showing his nervousness.

A pale hand blessed with the purest snow in the first day of winter slowly wrapped around the curtain before lifting it up.
