It's Christmastime in the City?
I've been feeling so deprived of the usual holiday merriment this year. Since I've been working and traveling so much for training lately, I haven't been exposed to all the hustle and bustle that usually come hand-in-hand this time of the year. I haven't been out to the malls, so I feel like I've missed out on seeing all the lights and decorations and hearing all the cheery music. (I did, however, get a taste of the busy-ness of the season today when I was fighting for a parking spot at a nearby Starbuck's -- people can be downright mean before their two shots of espresso, so I try not to mess with them.)
It just doesn't feel quite like Christmas yet. I wonder if being so busy lately has scared away the holiday spirit from reaching me this year. I should go find some Christmas music to sing along to... maybe that will do that trick. :)
Even though it doesn't feel like the holidays have arrived yet, it's so good to finally be home. I'm really looking forward to seeing all my family and friends this weekend.
