Do beautiful people have it easier?

Do you think attractive people have it easier than people who aren’t so good-looking? Women who possess big eyes, full lips, and a developed bust line tend to have men fall over themselves to open doors and take them out to dinner. Men who have striking features and a six-pack tend to have women who’d work themselves silly to be subservient and pleasing. Not only that, beautiful people also have it easier in the workplace. They tend to make big bucks in advertisements, music videos, and movies. And statistics have shown that people who are attractive advance faster in the corporate world.

I think it is easier these days to do business with people who are attractive. Say you’re a venture capitalist and you’re looking to invest. Other than the essentials of a business that are presented to you, what else do you use as basis for a decision? Looks of those who are presenting, of course. I really think that people who are beautiful have a competitive advantage over those who aren’t so beautiful.

Beauty = Money = Power. To be beautiful is to be rich and powerful.

On a totally unrelated note, check out this freaky little story: My roommate called to tell me that a lady in her hometown collapsed during the bloody crucifixion scene of “The Passion of the Christ”. It was later revealed that she died of a heart attack. There is so many weird stories connected to this movie, it’s scary. Read more about it here.
