Your brain is not Y2K compatible. Lobotomize? Y/N

TEH SONY PS TRIPLE!!!! (not)

I came across a special deal the other day, and I put down an order for a 40GB PlayStation 3 after what I thought was long and thorough consideration. Now that I think back on it, I'm not really sure why I did. Most of the good games on the platform are already available on the 360, and the fact that the 40GB version is arbitrarily crippled to not have backwards compatibility means that I won't be playing any of my 50+ PS2 games nicely upscaled on my HDTV.

The SIXAXIS controller trades in the rumble feature for a motion-sensing ability few games really take advantage of, and the outcome of the Blu-ray/HD-DVD war is still too messy and unpredictable to take a side just yet.

I love movies, but I'll be content in collecting DVDs and just renting Blu-rays when available. Heck, I still watch blurry VHS tapes since they're free and easy to get from the public library. Value means a lot to me, which is probably why I couldn't resist going through with the buy. That, or maybe I'm just a born sucker.
