When it rains, it pours.

So I don't have internet at home, because I'd rather read, and my computer at work is apparently to dumb to update my livejournal. Oh well. Here's an update.

The past few months I was finally starting to get back in shape and get a little money saved after the traditional Christmas eating and spending binge. Then a few weeks ago I pulled my hamstring. Then I got kicked in Capoeira and sprained my knee, which got messed up more because I had to take a belt test 3 days later. Then I took my car in for a routine checkup and discovered it needed new transmission fluid, spark plugs, wiring, etc. and I spent much $$. The next day my car stalled out on the highway and I had to get it towed. Then I discovered that my re-patriation insurance was expiring, and since I'm actually going to China now I had to renew it. Then I went to a party for my building and managed to get my second hangover ever resulting in a headache so bad I couldn't get out of bed until 3pm the next day. Then Jim came to visit and brought the Spanish plague with him and now I am sick.

However, I have been able to walk normally for about two weeks now, I'm starting to get back into my exercise routine, I'm going to two blues festivals and to China in July, and as long as I don't spend more than $100 between now and next Wednesday I'll just be able to pay my credit card bill. Also, my car is getting FANTASTIC gas mileage.

PS. I have discovered that sometimes cultural sterotypes exist for a reason. I have been filling out a LOT of chemical compliance forms, and the German companies require twice as many and they are twice as long.
