honestly, frankenstein felt more like a study on society and human behavior (iirc omg its been SO LONG since ive read it) so ive never felt like it was scary. BUT MAYBE BECAUSE IT'S YIXING SO??? im not gonna pretend im not biased HAH.

but really, the element of suspense AND ITS SO GREAT THAT YOU INCLUDED THE TASTY TWINS AND HOYA AND OK LIYIN DIED BEFORE SHE COULD DO ANYTHING BUT IM SO WEAK TOWARDS LIYIN

hmhm true, there's always the danger of getting backlash for not portraying things the way people might not. forget fanfics, even commercially published fiction writers get a lot of troublesome feedback by dissatisfied readers :/

personally, i dont enjoy having to put a warning for my fics if something that's not explicit but if it's on a more public sphere like a fic fest or exchange, it's better to be safe than sorry. especially if it's an issue that's subject to circumstances and is never exactly the same elsewhere. it's one of my greatest wish to get people to read something i've written and go, 'is this normal? or is it not? is this what the author personally advocates or is this just a hypothetical situation?'

haha i totally went on a rant there. sorry, im just having a crazy self-esteem dilemma ever since i've lost motivation to write anything, so since i cant write, i just think a lot about not-writing.
