Most of them don't use kanji, but rather use hiragana or katakana. Most of the names are puns of a sort, so while they could certainly be written with kanji that have those readings, it would look strange and/or it would take away the ambiguity of the names, thus ruining the puns.
tl;dr -- most of them aren't meant to be written in kanji.
