Over two weeks ago, distainful_baka requested ( here) a fanart of Sasuke in school uniform. Well, it started with that, then developed into genins in serafuku and gakuran. I bring it here to share.

I am *quite* amused. This kind of looks like the uniform my students wear. The hats thing is a little out-dated, but I think that's only because out here, my students ride thier bikes so thier helmets have that little brim.

But damn they should bring the hats back, if only cause Inoue looks damn hot in it. LOL.

And that Chouji looks like one of my students. I bet HE would take offense, but if I could dress him up like Chouji cause he would be so cyuuuuute!!! But he'd likely kill me. XD

Oh students can ride motorcycles to school? Or did you mean bicycles? Either way it's safer for them to wear helmets...
I think the hats went extinct over decades ago (sadly). The reason I made boys wear hats is that, with only upper half of Sasuke showing, he didn't have enough of the "school uniform" look. So I gave him a hat, and it looked good, so I gave it to other boys, too. I like hats.

By the lack of coats and scarves, and by blooming trees in the background, you can guess that they're going to get out of winter uniform pretty soon. I wish my school had uniforms.

Heh heh, I meant bicycles. That hats ARE darling. At least Elementary kids still wear the cute yellow hats. Well, some of my schools kids do, some don't, but I am pretty sure that all my kindergardens wear the yellow hats and yellow coats. SOOOOOO cute. *dies of cute*

Heck, a LOT of my kids, even in cold weather, hardly wear more then a sweater over thier school fuku. A lot of the boys only wear layers under thier uniforms. I think they all wear scarves. I think they are insane, I could NOT do that. Ahh, the "Gambarre" spirit of Japan. Sometimes you love it, sometimes it makes you think--WTF????

I remember my uniform from kindergarten. It wasn't very cute, but it was yellow. Suddenly I have an urge to draw chibi Kakashi, Obtio, and Rin wearing yellow chibi uniforms and hats. And maybe even red bow-ties. (Must suppress the urge...there are other things of higher riority...)

Students don't wear jackets or coats? That's incredible, I don't imagine that the uniforms are sufficiently insulating... I can't stand even the smallest amount of chill.

Neji looks a bit like a bus conductor ^^ (that's not meant to be an insult - just in case you thought it was).

I particularly like the Ino catching a lift from Shika!

Thank you! I put a lot of time into drawing Ino and Shikamaru (because the positioning was difficult). I'm glad you like the idea!

I knew that Neji had some kind of authorative, I'm-in-charrge-here atmosphere about him, and I guessed that it was because of the militaristic uniform. And the hat helps too, hm? But if Neji was the bus conductor...I'd ride that bus. XD

And TenTen is wearing tights. (Does it make her legs look fat?)

Brainstorming, sketching, inking, and coloring these 12 genins took a lot of time, and to do the sand siblings or sound genins too would have been monstrous. If it is any amusement to you, imagine that they go to different schools because they're in different village. Like Elite Sand Private Middle School, or Sound Music School. They'd probaly have different uniforms, too.

If you want to, you can go see this website. Just keep scrolling down...the text is in Korean, but this site has lots of pictures of diffrent school uniforms. I don't know what's the purpose of the website...but I used some of the pictures as a reference to girls' uniform.
