(no subject)
Mom's kind of mad at me because I told her I wouldn't be able to take off of work for Christina's graduation today. She wants to know why I can take off work for conventions but not for my sister's graduation.
Well. Considering I already told you last week that I probably wouldn't be able to take off and you were okay with that.. then all of a sudden you want me to take off of work a day in advance to go.. no. It doesn't work that way. I have to put up the days I need off weeks in advance and then harass people to see if they can take those days for me. Sundays aren't so hard to get off since I waitress that day and there are like 3 other waitresses that are available to take closing shift that night.. but fridays, when I hostess.. ugh. Sometimes I still don't have anyone to fill in for me the week before the day I need off so I have to tell my manager that I REALLY can't come into work that day. Then she has to check if it's going to be busy or not. So if it's not, I get to take off.. but if it is, I'm shit out of luck because we don't have any workers who are SOLEY hostesses anymore. And since practically all the waitresses who are able to work that day already are working that day.. there's not really anyone there to cover for me.
Speaking of which, I'm going to need to take to my manager about the friday of AX soon since no one has offered to take that day for me yet.
In related news.. I really don't want to go to work today. Not because I particularly want to go to my sister's graduation.. but I have 3 assignments to do for my Quantitive reasoning class, then the final for that is tomorrow.. I have two animations to finish by monday for my DC 233 and ANI 201 finals.. then friday is my ANI 230 final, so I have to start/finish the 3D model of my camera by then orz
