Ohayocon report/overview tiiiiiiems
I was on a bus for 7 hours. So you can already understand how my day must have been. I think we would have been on time if it wasn't for that lady who decided to take 10 minutes longer than everyone else at the rest stop. Lol the bus driver almost left her.
So yeah. Richie raindropvariant and I got in the general area of the convention at about 7pm. It was pretty freakin' cold in Columbus at the time. And we were totally confused as to where to go. Lucky a nice man that Richie ask direction from and then the crazy otaku walking away from the hotel WITHOUT JACKETS ON tipped us off on how to get there. It was only about 2 block away so we suffered the cold and trekked over there... ONLY TO MEET WITH AN ELEVATOR OF DOOM. So we lugged our stuff up some stairs and finally made our way to the center of Ohayocon. Yayz.
It wasn't too long until Richie found out where his room was, so he ran off.. but I had to wait almost 2 hours before I got a hold of Kayla to find out where to put my stuff ): I stood around and looked so out of place until then :D Luckily I was able to find the first Reborn shoot and stalked around there and talked to Victoria on the phone to keep me occupied.
Oh, so wow. The Hyatt Regency Ohio's elevators are HORRIBLE. Really. If you thought ACen's elevators were bad.. they're NOTHING compared the ones I had to suffer at Ohayocon. Good LORD. Nothing like hearing 4 elevator RUSH past your floor when you've been waiting for about 15 minutes already :|
But I got to the room eventually.. It was so weird rooming with people I've never communicated with at all :D I did recognize a lot of them from cosplay.com though. I'm kind of boggled as to why I had to pay $35 when there were 8 other people staying in the room.. that must have been one expensive as hell room, man. With that said, there was like.. no space at all. Between the joint rooms there were about 17 people that I knew of. The room I was in was apparently the "Stfu we're going to sleep early" room (which was okay because I was exhausted as hell from the bus ride and just being sick in general) buuuut the other room had to keep the door joining to our room open for whatever reason and they were being pretty loud so I don't think we ended up getting to sleep until about 2am orz
So until then, I was helping some of the girls in my room with their costume stuff for the masquerade the next night. I got to lug a 15lb prop to weapons check with Stephanie :B ...only to find out that as long as they were only for the masquerade (which they were) we didn't even have to bring them down :D; It was pretty funny watching everyone react to them though. TRYING TO CATCH RIDES IN THE ELEVATORS WAS GREAT.
When we got back, I was pretty tuckered out.. so I eventually fell asleep.. only to get woken up by that Ricky guy coming back to the room after drinking all night :|
AND THEN HE'S GOING TO COMPLAIN IN THE MORNING WHEN HE'S TOTALLY HUNGOVER. Well, duuuuuuh.
Oh yay. I actually did stuff on saturday.. but I didn't get out of the room until about 11am orz But that's when me, Kayla, Becki, and -- UUUH.. I can't remember the name of the girl that came down with us a Bel D: -- went down to find the noon Reborn shoot.
We waited forever for Sam solidpanda, Hanny, and the rest of their group to get down there. But it was really nice seeing them again |D

The Reborn shoot was probably the best part of the con for me.. regardless of the fact that my stomach was killing me the whole time. But people seemed really amused to see a Lussuria there, haha. I got quite a few request for pictures. And one of the Tsuna was like.. totally amanant to get a picture of Ryohei and Lussuria. Can't wait for those photos to surface.. hah.. haha r__r;
After that, we went to go get some pics by Fansview with some of the other guys. Theeeeen we went to do a mini Varia shoot. And some Christians told us that Jesus loved us. How nice.
But everyone else had to go change into other stuff so I stayed in Lussuria for awhile longer and took like.. two pictures of the Twilight photoshoot because Kayla was there and I had nothing better to do lolz.
Then that got weird and I found Ami unhappyrobot and Richie and stalked them for a bit. Then theeeey had to go change, so I sat around for a little while. Had some people ask for pictures.. some guy sat next to me and asked me what kind of music I listened to and proceeded to blast music from his laptop.. Sam and Hanny, looking adorable in their Team Fortress whatever cosplay, found me for a bit again before running off.. aaand then I got bored and went up to change into normal clothes.
I went back and forth between the room and walking around the hotel after that because I kept getting bored of either. After awhile, I was feeling pretty sick, so I sat around in the room for almost 3 hours before going out again orz But I was talking to Christina katgi on the phone and she was laughing at me after seeing the pictures I told her were probably up at fansview.com
I ended up talking to the two guys that came with Ricky for a bit when they came back to the room. They were pretty cool. The Asian one ended up getting a press pass because he was like "Hay I'm from Korea and I'm doing an article on conventions in America".. lol
Sometime later that night I ended up walking with Kayla. She was Kyo Sohma and I decided to dress in the Shinsengumi uniform that Victoria let me borrow. We met up with ohariko and sat around waiting for Kayla's Yuki so they could do a little photoshoot.
I just sat around for that and it was pretty boring, but whatever.
Sleep was horrible again that night.
I woke up, sat around and waited until it was time to walk back to the bus station.. it was pretty nice outside that morning :O
Luckily, the bus wasn't that full so I was able to have two seats to myself. I propped my duffel bag up on the other seat and slept pretty well for most of the 3 hours until we got to Indianapolis... then the bus got crowded ):
...AND HOT. OH MY GOD. I don't know WHAT the hell happened, but ffffffffffffffffff The air stopped working and it was SO uncomfortable. It got so bad that the only thing that could be done about it was someone taking a brush sticking it between the emergency ceiling door |D;
We got back to Chicago a little early though, so that was cool...
..until I found out that I had to wait an hour for the Metra to come so I could get home :|

AAAUGH. But overall.. eh.. I don't know if I'll be going back to Ohayocon unless Christina and Victoria come with. I'm pretty used to walking around alone at cons.. but this was bad ): I think it was worse because I didn't feel well, though.
But whatever. Now I can't wait till ACen ;A;
..and holy crap. Last night, mom asked me what cons were coming up and where they were because she wants to go on another road trip |D She asked if there were any in Tennessee.. wtf.. but she seemed interested in going to Texas so I can go to AKon |DD;; She was interested in California too, but Haley wouldn't be able to handle a 3 day drive ;AAAA;
OH YEAH. I GOT MY CAMERA BACK TODAY AND IT'S FIXED. I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING (that I know of yet) EITHER. HELL YEAH.
