Alive?

So, I guess it's time to finally update. And, yes, I do intend on filling in all of the past three weeks, but I'm going to break them up and make them very brief, so here's this weekend.

Friday I drove to Aimee's in the morning, but had no opportunity to make a lunch or put on shoes. We walked to school. I went and saw the theater arts final during first block. It started off with a lip synch to the Spice Girls' "wannabe" that featured Austin, Merika, Hannah Neilson, and others. It was very good. It included some poser rapping, the worm, and booty-shaking. The rest of the routines were good, though I thought our show last year was better...of course, I'm completely biased. Merika's skit was one I'd seen last year. Unfortunately, she went too fast, so it was hard to follow for most people. She did act well, though. We finished watching "Radio" in dance gym and ate donuts. Mrs.Fuque cried though she'd seen it before. Ap Gov was boring. We took our bible lit. final in fourth block (I'd been studying four it in my other blocks). It was tough (200 questions). nearly all of them (probably about 160) were just identifying which quotes were from which story. Oy!

Aimee and I walked to her house with Merika and Sam. I drove Sam home, went to my house with Merika and checked my mail and got some money to deposit in the bank. I dropped Merika off and went to Aimee's. We went to the bank where I deposited some money and took out ten dollars. In another month and a half my balance will be $2,000!! It's still a while off from how much I have to save for my first year of college (just the spending money), but it's very exciting to see that my hardwork is paying off!

Aimee and I first went to Michael's and sticker shopped. We hit a nasty bump on the way there. I got Oriental stickers, scary eyes stickers, and word bubble stickers. The latter took a WHILE to find. Aimee bought Wizard of Oz and Winnie the Pooh stickers. Her total came to $1.11! We drove to Graham Crackers and I looked around for Runaways to no avail. I bought the new "New X-Men: Academy X" and an old "Cloak and Dagger". It's so exciting to buy a new comic, waiting for the new one to come every month. It's like monthly present. Aimee was hungry so we drove to downtown Geneva, not before driving by Maddie's house!! I planned on taking her to the Geneva Diner, but we were told it was closed. After failing at our next pick, we found a bakery that sold soup. For three bucks we split a cup of soup and the teenage clerk (who was kind of cute in a way that didn't make sense) gave us four rolls! It was very serene, just sitting there together in Geneva, even if it was overcast.

I drove her home and went to the tailgate at Wendy's. It was originally going to be at the high school parking lot, but was moved to Wendy's because of the low number of people expected...which turned out to be a myth. Anywho, I wound up being the only one who brought food. I introduced them to Teropitas (sp?), Greek cheese triangles. Amy Becker liked them, but no one else could handle more than one...or even half of one in Meghan's case. The feta was strong, after all. Kayla bought me some food and we retired to the parking lot. Ian had been in "trying to act cool" mode, which drives me crazy. He acts so dumb in public sometimes. We danced a bit in the parking lot to "Lost Control" and I then dropped Britta and Meghan off at the game. I went home, planning to maybe go to the game later. I ate some brocolli and a little lasagna with Miles and Dad and hung out. Later, Miles, Sam, and I went to Borders. Sam bought a lot of Peanuts comics, Miles read some comics, and I looked at diaries for a while. I've been planning on shutting down this blog for sometime, but just can't find a diary that I care for. I'm so picky with them, but they one I pick really has to be a good one like my Japan one. We were there for about an hour. After finding nothing else to do, we headed home.

SaturdayI woke up early and studied Japanese. I didn't finish it all and was nearly late for work, but Dad drove me. I did the book drops and newspaper carts and clocked out early at 9:45 to finish studying. I did and Dad picked me up at 10:07. I stopped by the house, changed clothes (my hoody and pants were from the day before) and got shoes. I studied a bit in the car. The lessons went well, I could tell Mrs.Porter was concerned about my stress level after what happened last weekend. She got a call in the middle of the lesson and it was neat (as always) to hear someone with an accent talk in their native language. It sounds so natural.

Dad picked me up, not after learning how to say "white person" in Tagalog from Laya. The remainder of work was busy. Tempus fugavit et I ate lunch (popcorn) alone. After work, I tried to call some friends, but no one was free. I was really hungry and ate a lot for dinner. I drew and watched TV all night and stayed up until two.

Hodie/kyo/today I was too tired to go to church and got up at eleven-ish. I got ready and called Aimee. I drew a little and went over to Aimee's with Miles at about 12:30. I had to cover my eyes and follow her downstairs. She had told me to come on an empty stomach. I opened my eyes to see a candlelight table with a salad that said "Sadies?!" and had a funny face on it. The "Sadies?!" and face were made out of carrot and tomato slices. It was awesome!! Steve Burns was playing in the background.

We registered an e-mail address almostthereatoz@yahoo.com and planned the show. We went upstairs later and I made melts. My mom called and was pissy as usual she has been for the past two weeks. I went home, putsed around, and then went to Mrs. Lang's house to help call people for the fruit sale. I had to use a cellphone with bad reception for the first 45 minutes or so, which was a pain. I got lost when looking for Cleveland street!! I went home, did homework, looked up colleges, made popcorn, and watched the remainder of "Catch Me If You Can" with my mom.

So far the colleges I'm applying to are: North Central College (applied already), U of Wisconsin Madison, U of Wisconsin Milwaukee, and Depauw University in Indiana.

The Japanese word of the day is: "Naganegi" which means "leek".
