If you won the equivalent of $2000, and you had to spend it, what would you spend it on?
Well, I don’t think I’d exactly spend it. Not in the going out and shopping sense of the word. I’d probably buy a CD or start a college savings fund for Maia.
I mean…yeah. It’s weird. Who knew that having a baby come into your life would make everything change so drastically? Ok, yeah. Normal hetero people who always intended to have kids someday. But let me tell you. For a pair of lesbians, it’s kind of earth shaking.
It wasn’t that long ago that I would have said a guitar or voice lessons or head shots or something. But ever since Maia came into Reena and my life…everything’s changed. Stuff I used to think mattered doesn’t really anymore. And things I used to think I didn’t have to think about, suddenly I do.
So yeah…I’d use it in some kind of account to buy Maia’s college education in about eighteen years.
