Iguana Update:
We went to the 'exotics' vet in Monterey, and I am very pleased with them. Lennin isn't cured yet, but she was handled correctly, she (the vet) took down information about his cage, and seemed concerned that Lenny wasn't getting enough heat and humidity. So I'm working on that. She did a biopsy of the lump in her jaw, so now she has some staples in it, but we're coming back in about two weeks to have them removed. Until then, I have to give Lennin .30mls of pain reliever/anti-inflammatory stuff by mouth every day (she hates it), and .56mls of antibiotics every other day by injection (which she hates even more). Also, 20 minute baths every day (which she hates the least). I've learned to give them to her after she falls asleep, so she's groggy and doesn't try to escape the tub.
Stumpy, who is bright orange, which is a bad color for a green iguana to be, also gets 20 minute baths. We actually hink she's getting greener, a good sign. we decided to subject her to the baths as well because the Monterey vet said that Lennin's lump may be because of kidney disease, and we know that Stumpy is orange for the same reason. The other two iguanas, Eleanor and Ezmerelda aren't turning an unhealthy shade of orange or getting lumps, so they're okay presumably.
Lacrosse Update:
We finished the season 8-2-2. 8 wins, 2 losses, 2 ties.
The only thing in our way of a perfect season was the San Jose Xtreme. They are going DOWN next season, what with all the experience we'll have this time around to add to the pure talent. We rank #2 of womens' high-school-age club teams in Northern California.
