Pfft. Every time I tell myself I'll post more on this thing because I need something to rant at/into, but I never do. Eh.

I finally got around to doing some work on Indigo, my newest Superman fanfic. I hope it will one day be novel length, and be just as tense and plot-driven and sexy and funny as Clairecheaux's Kal-El's Journ-El. It's currently sitting at about three pages, three very good pages, and an assortment of speculations and notes and plans and plotpoints. I would like the reactions of my audience to go thusly, even if they cannot be arsed to review, as about 99% cannot:

Ouch.
Oh my god, that sucks.
Jeez, lay off a bit, will you?
Hey, now, come on, this is getting serious. Have some pity on Kal.
Holy...stop it! No! *keeps reading*
AHHHH!
HOLY FUCK! KAAAAAL! I can't believe she would...

And they simply won't ever be able to tell when it's going to end. Maybe I won't even end it. I'm going to do something to him that I haven't read as happening in a fanfic yet, and that makes me quite excited.

In other news, First Reg is coming up, so I have to meet with my advisor because I'm going to start taking upper division classes next semester. Vert Morph sounds like a lot of fun, so does Ocean Science Literacy, heck, so does Marine Ecology. Such is the life of a bio nerd.

I finally got to see Bodyworlds, which is really cool. All that exposed muscle though... Kinda made me hungry.

J seems to have caught on that I don't like going to the ridge, and I am thus being forced to go this Friday. I'm also leading my group solo. Excellent! I'll get them lost. Actually, maybe we can go to the lower ridge. That's feasible, as she didn't specifically say 'the ridge', she said 'up'. I dislike 'up' hikes. I'm not lazy, it's just that at the end of a nineteen-unit week, trailing a gaggle of fourth graders just after halloween, complaining about the cold, asking when lunch is, a 1400 foot climb, and keeping them out of the poison oak...it's something I'd like to avoid. So I end up going to the creek. Besides, I like the creek, and amphibians.

I really, really miss my iguana, but I have to wait until Thanksgiving break to see him. My sister, too. But it's just two more weeks, and we can go ice-skating and stuff. And have our usual feast of mass-produced, overpriced sushi and miniature desserts. Mmmm. I don't know if I'll be able to even look at the mussels, I've dissected so many of the stupid things this semester. At least a hundred. M keeps the dissection logs, so I'll check in the binder tomorrow, when I finish that bag of indeterminate origin. Found a pearl the other day, promptly dropped it on the white tile. No big deal, really, it's not like they're worth anything. The ones we find in these mussels are really small, never round, and of poor quality, so it's not like we could sell them or anything. I mean, that's why the ones you normally see are expensive, because most pearls do not look like that. Cute souvenirs, though.

I think that's it.
