The last time I fit into 32"-waist jeans was 13 years ago, at the end of 9th grade. I weighed 150 lbs. That summer I gained 40 lbs, then lost 10 just before starting 10th grade, putting me at 180 lbs. At that point, I had a 34" waist. I have now returned to my 180 lb physique after dropping from my all-time high of 235+ lbs. (I should have weighed myself before starting my diet, but didn't think to.) Now, that's all well and good, but here's where it gets confusing: I just returned from Wal-Mart where I bought jeans, and it wasn't the 34" waist pairs that fit me, it was the 32" ones. I'm not complaining, I just don't get it. How is that possible when I weigh 30 lbs more than the last time I fit that size?
Long story short, I got new pants today.
...and that pretty much wraps up this entry.
God bless,
John
