So, a few days ago I got an e-mail from Cornerstone Festival, announcing that this year will be the last Cornerstone ever. I'm so deeply saddened by this news, it's as if I'm losing a close friend. It's made me reflect back on the many, many memories acquired at that festival -- too many to count, really. All the bands I've seen, met, and got my picture taken with, all the merch I've bought, all the friendships made. Even the non-music-related memories, which I think there may actually be more of, like making an entire bag of baked potatoes one afternoon in 2004, only to have everyone leave the camp site just as they were about done, and the subsequent potato slingshot incident. The best times of my life were had at Cornerstone. This year will be my eighth one. I can't believe it'll be the last, that this is the last time I'll get to experience it.

I'm going to go read old journal entries from past Cornerstones. Later.
