Bookcrossing and stuff

I've just registered 12 more books on Bookcrossing.com and I must admit that I find registering my books really tedious work. First I cut out the labels, then I sign and date them, then I stick them in my books (one at a time) and then I register them and then I write the BCID on the label. I wonde if anyone else finds it as tedious as I do?By the time I did all that and went to check on the BCUK yahoo group I discovered I was well behind on messages, and lots of people had invited me to friend them on LJ which is great. Bookcrossers are nice people. If everyone was a bookcrosser, the world would be a nicer place to be, there would be no famine because everyone would trade their books for food and those who didn't have books to trade for food could have some of mine. I have hundreds. I'm trying very hard to register my entire book collection so when I decide that I no longer need a particular book I can just hand it over to someone else or release it into the wild without all the worry of having to register it first. 12 books registered today... only another 400 or so to go. I then had this clever idea that I could hold onto my duplicate books and list them under reserved and use them for bookrings. Having done that I realised that I need space for new books, and duplicates are taking up my precious space. On the other hand I loath to release them into the wild in case they never turn up again, but if I book ring them, in theory I won't see them for a few weeks so by the time they come back I will have forgotten I had them and filled the space with new books, which would then put me in a position where I HAVE to release those books into the wild. As much as I love bookcrossing, I find it so very painful.

Any bookcrosser who is interested to see what books I have registered so far see my bookshelf

Books listed as available are the ones looking for new homes. The ones in reserve are mostly duplicates, or ones that I need to temporarily split up with to see if I can cope without them. I'm happy to lend this out, or if you are interested in being involved in a bookring with any book listed in reserved (or available) please get in touch.

If there are any people out there who want to be nice to me, or for some reason feel the need to grovel at my feet then check out my book wish list
