I rang Ian who is now on his way back from Stoke. He told me he was bringing company. The minute he walks through that door I should belt him round the head with a rolling pin for not consulting me first, but I know I won't, because I will be out numbered. We have actually discussed it, but I wasn't prepared to commit myself at the time without all the relevent information. So what does that idiot go and do? He makes a dicission without me. Yes they are his daughters, and yes he's right to want to help them, but...Arrrrrgggh I've been down this road before!
Sometime in the next half hour that pest is going to walk through my door with two cages full of gerbils! His daughters are in temporary accommodation with their mum where there is strict ruling about keeping pets so we've been asked to gerbil sit for a couple of weeks until they find a house. Last time I gerbil sat for a friend she decided she no longer had time for them and they were staying with me. I could deal with that though. One tank containing two adult female gerbils. No problem.
This time we are talking One male gerbil, one female gerbil and several babies in two cages. Where the hell am I going to put them? Have they been sexed properly? What if a boy has been mis labelled a girl or a girl mislabelled a boy? What if one of the females is pregnant? Don't come near me folks you might catch gerbils from me :p
God give me...money, to open a bloody animal sanctuary!
Methinks Ian will have to sleep in the shed tonight, his side of the bed is going to be taken up by gerbils!
gerbils,
rodents,
trouble,
pests
