Antigone was very interesting. I believed that she did the right thing, and she stood up for herself. In the beginning Antigone finds out that her father is dead. She tries to go back to Thebes before her brothers Polymerizes and Eteocles kill each other. When she arrives she finds out she is too late. They killed each other for a very stupid and resolvable problem. Since they are brother they were suppose to share the throne, and rule year to year. At the end of Eteocles year he didn’t want to give up the throne, so polymerizes declared war on his brother and bring an army to fight. In the end they of course kill each other, but the new king Creon plans on giving Eteocles a proper burial and leave Polymerizes to rot in the open. Creon said anyone who tried to bury him will be executed. When Antigone comes back she tells her sister Ismene that she is will do anything to bury Polymerizes. When the king finds out he sentences her to death. After all the arguing with her he really starts to consider a proper burial for Polymerizes. Antigone is engaged to Creon’s son Haemon. They get into an argument on what he should do and Haemon storms out. He order a blind prophet to come talk to him the prophet tells him to let Antigone go and to bury Polymerizes and if he doesn’t it will result in his own death. So he decides to let her go. In the end you find out that Antigone kills herself, and when Haemon finds her he goes and tries to kill his father, but ends up killing himself. After finding that her son is dead Eurydice kills herself. The only people alive in the end are Creon and Ismene.
