This will be a lightning fast entry, and it certainly won't take the place of a proper entry at some point in the VERY NEAR FUTURE or may my brain be eaten by brain eating slugs.
It has been a crazy few weeks, plenty of things have been happening that would normally have be typing like crazy. But, as has happened before, I have felt no desire to write. Brought on, once again, by a general feeling of self loathing. No need to worry, nothing too serious, I haven't been unhappy. I've just had lots to think about. And, as you will know if you have been paying attention, I won't write unless I feel like it, so I didn't. Anyway, I'm over it somewhat now.
What has been happening lately:
I have a new MSN passport email address - givemeanamedammit at gmail dot com. If you want to chat to me over MSN add me there and I'll add you right back. I also have a new mobile phone number - I'm still checking the old one, so I'm still getting your messages. In the next day or so I'll send out a mass SMS to everyone from the new one, but I don't have everyone in my address book, so if you would like my number email me at the above address and I'll send it to you.
I have bought a New Car! It's actually New, not just a different one. Its a blue Toyota Corolla, and it is about the most awsome thing I've ever bought. I never thought I would enjoy buying anything so much. The 2nd Chunkymobile. The 1st one, my beautiful faithful companion for so long (7 years), is still in my possession. It really is on the way out, but it still has 5 months rego, and drives ok. It will be in the Herald for $950 from Saturday if anyone is interested.
I can now continuously jog 5kms - twice the length of the fernleigh track that backs onto my place that I dont need to cross any roads for. This is a milestone that I thought was months away. When I get to 10kms I can start jogging to work (who needs a new car?). I need to get to 14km by August - for the City to Surf.
I bought Metal Slug 4 for the (my brother's Xbox). I really love that game.
I finished reading David Suzuki's autobiography. He is a truely brillient man - so many things he said made so much sense. I'd like to say that his philosophies and ways of thinking match my own, but that would imply that I'm as great a person as he is, when clearly I'm not. I will try to find time to pick out the best bits for you to read. Vanessa got this for me for our "Aniversary" last November... thank you babe. In the front cover she wrote "Words of a thinker for a thinker's library" - that about the most awesome sentance anyone has ever written for me.
I am turning into a total hermit. Spending my weekend's with Vanessa has deprived me of lots of the time I would otherwise spend with my friends. There are so many people I would love to catch up with. I promise I'll stop complaining and go to the damm lucky country soon.
I watched Silence of the Lambs, A Clockwork Orange, Sin City, an Interview with a Vampire and An Inconvinient Truth. The first four were awesome. I will reserve my comments on the fifth until another post.
Current Food: Vanessa's Mum cooks a fantastic Sheppard's Pie, Oh my Brothers.
