Same old same old....
January is flying by and that is alright with me. Its my least favorite month by far. A few weeks ago, Lauren and Colleen came to visit. It was an interesting weekend with them here to say the least. It was also Lauren Creditt's last weekend here before Costa Rica so we went out to dinner and then had a party over on Irving. This past weekend was fun at times and went by too fast at other times.
School doesn't seem as stressful this semester yet as it was last semester. Maybe its the less credit hours, or the fact that I only have one class MWF. But whatever it is, it seems like I have a little more free time which has been nice. I'm just not use to it yet.
Mom had her elbow surgury (again) this past Tuesday and I was really worried about it for a few days. I don't know why, but it was just on my mind even though she didn't make it seem like it was a big deal. Everything went fine I guess, so I'm glad and was relieved later in the day when I talked to her.
"24" season six started with a bang (literally) and I love every minute of it. Its nice to have something like that to look forward to each week especially when many other of my friends watch it as well. I also was in charge of the Composite picture for Phi Beta Chi yesterday and that was a lot of work. Very glad its over for the most part and glad that I will not be on Exec next year too. I'm just getting sick of Phi Beta Chi in general. Maybe its because I've been in it so long and it just gets old, but its not what it use to be in the past years. I'm also not excited about paying the dues coming up.
Speaking of money, I have sooo much to pay for in the coming weeks. Phi Beta Chi, El Salvador, utilities, Daytona, Daytona flight, some tuition and food to say the least and I'm very glad I'm working almost every weekend to help boost my account.
I'm going on Metanoia retreat this weekend and am very excited about it. My friend Alicia has been pumping me up about it every time I see her and she is so excited I'm going. I just need some time away from UD and stress to just relax and have fun for a weekend. Who knows what the retreat will bring, but from what I hear, only good things come from it.
I'm sitting here in the library after finishing the worst paper of my life about a poem and journal article and just wanting this week to be over. We get paid tomorrow!!
