Parents, Halloween & randomness
So in the past two weeks I have been very busy a lot has happened, as usual. Last week I went to St. Louis with the yearbook and it was a lot of fun. We went to some convention thing at a nice hotel and had to go to different meetings throughout the day. Brian, Caroline, and Ali went and Melissa went as well and we all had a blast. It rained every day though but we still managed to go to the Arch and go inside to look down onto the city. It was the time of the World Seriese and Detriot's players were staying in our hotel, so that was kinda cool I guess. I got back to campus at about 1 AM on that Friday and the next day was parents weekend.
Aaron, Nate, Andy and my parents went out to dinner that night and it was pretty good. We all enjoyed it and then the parents came back to our house and we taught them how to play beer pong and flip cup. My mom and dad tried to beat me multiple times but I wouldn't let me with my fine beer pong skills. haha They had a lot of fun and I'm glad they were able to stay as late as they did because I knew that my dad had worked all week about 85 hours and was exhausted. So when they left, about 10:30, I got into my halloween costume and was GI Joe the rest of the night. It was intense. I was in full make-up the entire time and my face was green. Wasted? yes. Fun? yes. Worth it? yes. We all had a blast and eventually some of us thought it was "sneaky" to go up to nate's room and take shots. Not the best idea for some, but that didn't stop us. So that night was awesome as the parents were at our house then halloween was mixed into it.
This past weekend wasn't anything wild and crazy. There was really nothing big going on so Friday night I went over to Iriving and did a power hour. Then somehow made it to Jasper street for a rather dull party that me and Lauren and Tiedge got bored so we left and somehow I passed out on the "non-puke" couch on Iriving. haha Long night.
Yesterday Andy and I went down to cinci to get a couch from his sister's apartment. Then I went home and mom came with us to get some pants for formal next weekend. It was a nice break from campus for a day and it made me wish I had a car so I could randomly go down to cinci like that more often. Last night, everyone was at our house and we played flip cup in the basement. Then went over to Woodland for Mel's roommate's bday party and hung out for a while. As I walked back, I somehow made it to a house on Alberta with Marissa and tried to get some drunk girl out of the house as she was passed out. Made for a hilarious story to tell. I thought my night was over after that and it clearly wasn't as I came home and the basement started to leak from the nieghbor's bathroom and the Claire came over and talked for like an hour about random stuff. A half our phone call from the girls (lauren, mary, colleen) in Canada for the night was very humorous as well and finally made it to bed about 4 AM. So a weekend without much planned turned out to be pretty fun. Now only a few weeks until Thanksgiving!
