It passed as quickly as it came.....

Summer is basically over and I'm basically sad about it. I've been dreading going back to school for weeks and I don't really want to go back still but after tomorrow I get to move all my shit back up north and start another year. I am not looking forward to packing and unpacking and organizing and stuff at all. Its just a hassle and time consumer. Actually thats one of the big reason why I didn't want to go back, b/c of all the packing, ect. Wow, I'm lazy. But what I'm really looking forward to is going back to work at the Info desk and seeing all my co-workers again. I know its strange, but I guess its good that I like my job and people I work with as a way to "escape" somewhat. Tuesday I have Orientation all day with them from 9-5, and it should be kinda boring but also a lot of fun since I know everyone already.

This past week has been great and I've done a lot of things I didn't think I would do actually. Tuesday John and I went to lunch with Brendan and his sisters b/c his dad isn't doing well and we thought they needed a break from all the hospital stuff and whatnot. It was really nice and I think everyone had a good time. Wednesday night was a blast. I went bowling with Elisa and her friend from Xavier and we had so much fun. After a few pitchers of beer, my score got a little better I guess and then after that, we just sat there and drank for like an hour and a half. Felt kinda weird, but it was fun. We randomly went to Elisa's house then walked to the golf course pavilion thing and sat there for a while. Then we were like, "well, thats that" and walked home, but it was funny and random. I had so much fun with them and hope to make a visit to Xavier sometime this year for a weekend or night.

Thursday and Friday nights I had to work the East Side Players concession at the rec and I didn't want to at all. I was glad that I was finished with work Friday night b/c I was tired of it and didn't want to spend any more time serving food. We were going to go to the dance club friday night after work, but one by one, everyone whimped out and it was only going to be me and Katie Stauss and that would have been stupid to go with just one person, so we decided we would have to go another time.

Tonight I went to the Rascal Flatts concert with John, Katy, and Amy and it was a lot of fun. A perfect way to end summer. It wasn't horribly hot/humid like the Dave concert last week and we all had a good time.

I'm not completely against going back to school like I might sound I guess, its just that I had such a great summer that I don't want to go back to a place where it could or could not end up as great as summer. Why leave something that was so much fun? But I'm sure I'll get back in the swing of things once I move in and get situated and hopefully this year will be a blast like the past two years. I mean, its UD, how could it not be fun? But I guess my lazy days of relaxing by the pool and going on random trips and stuff are gone. No more tae-do either, which was upsetting on Friday when I went for the last time. Tomorrow I have a lot of packing to do and then heading to the Bengal's game for my official last night of summer. So thats something to look forward to as well.
