Crazy Nights...

This week has been crazy!! I've had a blast basically every day and I'm sad to see it go. On Wednesday, I went down to Riverbend to see the Counting Crows/Goo Goo Doll concert which I've been waiting for all summer. We were in the lawn, but it was still really cool. I was actually a little disapointed with both bands because they didn't play the songs that I was hoping they'd play for so long. And when they play a good song but a different version, its kinda hard to sing along to it because you don't know how slow the song is going to get and whatnot. But other than that they were both great. I think the Counting Crows were better back in 2003 when I saw them the first time, but thats alright.

Thursday night, my parents/family was out of town up north in cleveland to visit my dad's side of the family, so I had the house to myself for two nights. Everyone knows what that meant. I actually think my parents were expecting me to have a party the way they were acting, and they didn't even care when I told them I had a few people over. So Thursday I had the UD crew come over (Amy, Nate, Rachel, Katy & Chase) and after a few card games later, we were all pretty gone. We did use Chase for our first beer run with him though, so that was an experience. There was many walks by some down the street to "walk it off" and others seemed to puke it up to feel better, but I did neither and was quite happy with that.

Friday night, John and Brendan came over and we drank a few and watched some movies. A lower key night then the first but still fun since I don't see them very often anymore. Saturday I really didn't do much, just went to work for a while and then came home and rested after a long week.

But last night reminded me that we week wasn't over yet. I went camping on the little miami river with some people from work and it was a blast. Only Katie, Drew, Nick, Amy, Kenny and Courtney could come, but it was a perfect mix of people that I don't normally hang out with. I had to organize it all or else it probably wouldn't have happened and everyone came to me for what to bring, ect, so that was normal I guess, but sometimes it gets old. We pounded those beers last night and had many many jello shots as well, made by katie, so it was a great night. Played some card games and taught some of them how to play for the first time. Then about 3 AM (maybe?) a few of us decided to go into the river. Even though it was only maybe three feet deep max where we were, it was running really fast so kinda hard to stand straight up in for a while. Walking back to the side of the river, I probably fell about 5 times but was laughing so much that it didn't matter. Finally passed out about 6 AM and woke up today very hung over. But thats alright, means the night before was a success. haha

On another note, my grandma has been in the hospital all week and she isn't doing very well. She came home on saturday but she still isn't doing very well at home. I've visited her a few times this week and this past summer she has been going downhill fast, and I'd rather not think about it till I have to.

I've kinda been getting excited about going back to school lately actually and am not dreading it as much as I was a few weeks ago. Its only a few weeks away, and it can't come any sooner. Oh, and this weather we are having is incredible! I love the 90 degree sunny weather even though everyone else hates it. Its better then raining or snowing if you ask me.
