asavas 1) Why is Clutch your favorite band?
'casue theyre AWESOME! they have been since i was thirteen. an old friend snuck me into a show of theirs at the Lithuanian hall (they were palying with nest step up.). they played and i was totally hooked. their music is slightly hardcore, kinda stoner rock, a bit southern fried. their lyrics are witty and imaginative and (bad use of the word) epic and include random civil war and biblical refernces. ive seen them atleast once a year for the past ten years. and they havent put out a bad album in that time.
2) What part of being a mom are you best at?
bests might not be the propper term. im very grateful that i have amazing boys, they make it easy. i guess with morii since we both have such a strong dork side, i relate to him easily.we talk alot about goffy 9 y.o. boy stuff (d&d, mexican wrestling, the beatles..thing i know) so even though im the heavy in the house we still have things in common. with wyatt hes still young enough to think that the world goes to sleep when he does, so i havent scored many points there yet. also when i make pancakes for dinner im the best mom ever.
3) What scares you the most about getting older?
not being able to retire. Alzheimer's. saggy stuff. ive had to be an "adult" for so long the not being cool anymore, or paying bills, or the "what am i doing with my life" stuff has come and gone for the most part. though when im with the boys out somewhere and im pushing a stroller and telling morri that he cant have a crossbow, i look at the hipster kids with a bit of envy.
4) What attracts you the most to Andy?
he is the most constant unflappable man that i have ever met. when he says something its precisely what he means, when he says he will be there, he will be. my parents were crazy flakey, my grandmother was old. i did alot of things by myself, graduations, recitals, games. andy and his family threw me my first birthday party. hes my best friend. he deals with my late night pointless banter. he looks dashing in a suit.
5) Why "Steak Knife"?
i was thinking up all these horrible names, the hamster (going around in circles) apocalypse jones. andy said t-bone, i said steak-knife, we high fived. i like to say that its the name without pun, to try and make it cooler. and i would officially like to thank whiskey for its help that night.
