upon returning home to the hospital...

Tracey came home from the hospital and wisely went immediately to bed I decided to unpack our stuff and do laundry (I had been staying at her bedside 24/7 so I had a ton of laundry to do).

I suddenly realised that the hospital never returned Tracey's prescription meds to us. So I called a taxi and went to get them. Upon getting home, my wheelchair wouldn't unfold. When it finally unfolded, the rear wheals wouldn't turn.

Long story short: By the time I got back inside, I found that the frame was twisted and spokes on the rear wheels are broken. Shit. So I gave a neighbor (who happened to be in the hall) my keys and asked her to get my backup (old) wheelchair.

As luck would have it, the tires on my spare wheelchair were pretty flat. I borrowed a neighbor's air compressor but only managed to take more air OUT of the tires. Luckily Tracey has a spare pair of wheels with solid inserts. I'm using them now.
