Livesign!

Hm ... is it just me or is everyone a little obsessed with their LJs lately? <.< My friendspage keeps filling almost every day! o.o I envy you people ... you have a life o.o xDD

So I figured I might as well proof I'm still among the living. Actually come to think of it I might as well report about my first semester at Bremen University now that it's almost over.

Since October 2006 I am officially a student at said University. Subjects are History and English/English Speaking Cultures B.A..

After a really chaotic and panicky first week I kinda settled in the rhythm and actually got used to hours like: Einführung in das Studium der Geschichtswissenschaft (History Introductory course), Monday evening 7pm to 9pm x_X or Introduction to (Applying) linguistics, Tuesday morning 8am to 10am! But else I couldn't really complain about my schedule. Monday was nothing apart from the History Intro, tuesdays were tough but wednesday was free alltogether ^-^

Some comments about my teachers:

Einführung in das Studium der Geschichtswissenschaft: Tassilo Schmitt: He's actually one of my favorite kinds of teacher. Not to soft, but fair! In this course the exam was practically a joke since he himself did not want to let people write an exam in the first place. All or at least most of us passed!

Introduction to (Applying) linguistics: John Bateman: Or JB as tutor Oliver calls him. Linguistic is not my subject but JB is bearable at 8am! And thanks to Olli I understood at least a little bit. We'll see how the exam went, still waiting for results

Introduction to British Social History: Logie Barrow: Tutorial with Imke xD It was fun though I hardly went to the actual lectures. Logie is a real Londoner and it's enjoyable listening to him! And it's amazing how much he knows o.o! I still have to write a 4 to 5 page essay for him about the Spanish Armada.

University Language Skills I: Michael Claridge: Language class! SO MUCH FUN!!! Michael is, next to Ian (s.b.), my favorite teacher!!! I have to finish my Position paper till the end of Feb.

Einführung in die Alte Geschichte: Das christliche Kaiserreich (Ancient History Introduction: (lecture) The christian Empire): Tassilo Schmitt: Have to repeat this modul due to failing the preexam twice. Here Schmitt showed he's not Mr. Niceguy all the way. But the lecture was really interesting!

Einführung in die Alte Geschichte: ProSeminar: Konstantin:(Seminar: Constantin) Carmen Hammer: She was nice but too soft for my liking ... I couldn't finish the modul for reasons mentioned above

Introduction to English Literature: Ian Watson: My Irishman! Gosh! He's so cool! And his lecture is great too! I missed him during the few lectures after New Years where we had Sabine Bröck Looking forward to next semester! Exam was fairly easy too^^

So! Enough rambling about BU ^^ I like it and I'm looking forward to the next semester!

Next time on: Chunny goes crazy: Our flat! Or ... I HATE LATEXFARBE >____________<
