Pendleton - A place to punch a cow

So, im coming up on what was to be the end of my stay here in Pendleton Oregon. However, things are going so well, and im having so much fun that I may extend my stay through the end of the series, which is this weekend.

On to the poker action. Ive played 4 or 5 tourneys, and cashed in none of them. The only one I even went deep in was the 7s8 tourney where I had decent chips until I failed to bet/fold 5th street leading [JhQh] Qs 4d 4s into Linda Johnson's [78] 5s 6c 9s. Committed there and got the rest in on sixth drawing to 4 outs for half. Oh well.

Cash games have been great. Came down with the intent of grinding the 2/5 NL games, but quickly found myself playing the mixed game, which is usually SORBET (I came up with that one, i refuse to play a mixed game that doesnt spell something, and STROBE doesnt break the games up as Id like). Weve been playing 15/30 SORBET, and ive even gotten to play it HU a bit, which has been fun. Ive pretty much been crushing the game, whcih is always nice.

Speaking of crushing, the other thing im crushing is coin flips. Not metaphorical AKs vs 22 coinflips, but actual coinflips. Yeah, the degeracy has reached the point that Ive started coin flipping people for their (short) stacks. Im never the one who suggests it, but i wont say know to any flip for less than $350. So far im 8/10 and +$1550, and the 2 losses were for $20 and $30.

Met a ton of cool players down here too. Everybody always seems to know everybody else, and I guess that this is the sort of poker networking I need to be doing. Lot of cool people down here. Ill definitely be coming back for the next one.

And tomorrow morning, im gonna see about extending my stay.
