The job's been pretty crazy. Four of us went over to pick up two marble sculptures that had been on display in first century Rome. Think about that.... That's friggin' OLD!!! The house in which they were on display was huge and it seemed as if it was completely made of marble. Whoever owned that house (we didn't meet the owner, only some servants and housekeepers) was filthy rich. We loaded the 1,100 lb statues onto a hand-truck and pretty much just lugged them to the truck to move to storage. It would have been simple had it not been for at least ten steps between us and the truck. Man, it was crazy. My hands got pretty well ripped up... Interesting stuff though... :)
We moved into Gilles and Melanie's neighbor's house on Sunday after church. The guy's got a 7-year old kid who's a bit like a spoiled, only-child but we've been able to avoid her pretty well... I know. Sounds terrible, doesn't it? :) We just have one bedroom that we share but it's got its own bathroom and walk-in closet. It's okay for now.
Last night there was a huge, beautiful thunderstorm. I'll post it on YouTube since I got some of it on video. I'll try to post it by the end of the day.
I'm not really sure what else to say... Nothing really interesting has happened besides some things at work with which I won't bore you... Anyway, have a good one and remember, "If you give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he'll buy a really ugly hat."
