Gothspring update
Well, had my first phone call with her today since she left us.
It went better than I thought.
She's at her new school and seems to be doing well.
WE've emailed back and forth a lot and never once was she angry about what happened to her.
Sure there were the questions of "what did I do that was so wrong?" "am I really that bad?" etc but those are subsided and now she seems to be understanding her actions better.
She had to write a letter to us taking responsibility for her actions and talk about why she did what she did.
In this she revealed a lot of things she had done that she hadn't told us. Jim and I knew/assumed most but there were a few things that surprised me but at the same time didn't surprise me.
Everything she has done all points to a lack of self respect.
So, we talked with her, cried a bit and laughed.
It wasn't as uncomfortable or tense as I thought it would be.
She needs a lot of help, but it seems she is getting it.
I still miss her.
