When Japanese people ask me what I do in my free time, I tell them I study, and sometimes I throw in that I watch TV or read. Luckily, watching TV and reading kind of ARE studying, since I do most of that stuff in Japanese. Also, I have written a program for the DS that bounces a
lil self portrait round the screen. Anyway I tell them that I study. This morning, I have been studying. I watched an episode of one piece, and added kanji #666 to my book. (損, damage, elements of "fingers" and "employee", story to remember: It would damage my reputation if I gave my fellow employees the finger.) I was hoping to make it to the end of the page before work, and that's only three more, so I'll go now. However, you could all do well to check out this awesome guy's site. He's not that awesome, but he's cooler than me, and his CMS lets him make hyperlink footnotes in a way I wanted to use hyperlinks since before I wrote my first web page. So many unfinished/unbegun childhood ambitions.
THIS links to his latest post at the time of this post, which is very broad and touches on some very true things which I think more people ought to be exposed to. I am musically illiterate, despite years of music classes, by the way.
