Koko ni!! - Kanjani 8
Since the moment I've heard the news of this new single, I've been working on the lyrics. After watching them in Mste today I decided to post this as a sort of draft until the release date, final try I guess, now. It does have a different feeling to watch the 6 of them :'
The lyrics have been around since that day, since this is such an important song, marking their return as a 6-member Kanjani. Got the kanji from here, maybe later, I'll add some more notes on this, and I'll surely correct it further once the single is out and I can listen to the whole song.

[T/N]:I don't have much time now, but I've struggled with the lyrics a lot, I wanted and still want this to come out good, beautiful and full of encouragement as this song is. I was really excited after hearing the news because I like Wanima's songs a lot and having a collaboration between them was out of my mind. The first thing that I thought was how bad that Baru is no longer there, I wanted to listen to this song with his voice.
After watching their live performance of this song, I have so many thoughts, but going beyond all the nostalgia feelings and the wonderings where Baru should have been, it's nice to see them there, it feels new, even refreshing. I'm waiting for more. Keep moving forward Eito!

So, on this song, first, I love the encouraging theme, it's just the best part and all the moving-forward-concept. I keep thinking about Eito minus Baru and it's just so new and completely different, especially vocally, for me at least. So, I think I like this statement of moving forward, despite all that had happened.
- On the actual lyrics, well, I've tried before translating Kenta's lyrics (he's the MA in WANIMA, hence the WANIMAのMA) and he usually is very imprecise in terms of pronouns or in being specific in terms of a situation, so it's rather hard, usually, to read his lyrics. This time the part that got me thinking the longest, it's the 'don't let it start, you start this', I think I settled with that. I think I sort of got this idea of taking the control in the process instead of just being swayed by the things. I had so many options to express that, but it was after watching the jackets/covers of the single that I decided to go for it. In the jacket you can read, in English, 'Don't let it start, you start it'. So, I guess that was the main inspiration for translating that part, and I guess that's the real meaning behind the phrase. To take matters into your own hands, I could only think of this expression in Spanish haha. Either way, I love the song, and I think the part I like the most of their singing is Maru's solo that later is followed by Kura. I think in cursive is the part I like the most how it ended in English XD
Oh, and about the last part, I can't help but think about those lines being directed to Baru, as in the part of encounters and farewells.
I think I read somewhere that this song was requested to Wanima because they're friends with Yasu, I think, and I'm so glad about that. I'm also glad Yasu is looking better and he's the sweetest thing in Eito.
I guess I'll need some time to stop missing Baru's voice in Eito, but I think this is a nice start and the fact that they're taking part into this, stepping in and making this statement of moving forward is just soothing. I think I like this song very much, for many different reasons <3
I did edit it a little bit here and there, and I'm still not fully satisfied... gomen!

Ha, I'm better now, not completely fine but better. I know, I don't usually go for the main songs in singles but this is such an important song that I couldn't resist trying to translate this. I'm sorry about the usual mistakes, I'm sure there are plenty, but I went through this many times... I like Takaramono a lot, but there're too many songs on my pending list already... All you need is laugh is a song coming from Ryo and Yasu, but I think I like the other better.
So, my crazy couple of months are about to be over... there's so much expectation coming from my inside!! Let's see how this ends!
