Hi! I'm super tired, today was so chaotic at work, I was just finishing some files to send! and in a couple of minutes I have to go to school for the closing ceremony, full schedule today, right? Then why on earth I'm doing this? I'm that crazy~



This is actually the last song on my list, but for some reason, I decided to do this 3rd. And let me insert a tweet I don't even remember seeing XD

This was announced previous-debut, so this song has this purpose and the self-titled part means they chose a title, that's the reason it's hard to translate LOL, but at the same time that was what called my attention, that and the vocals, I like the vocals here, despite not knowing who sings which part, let's go with lyrics and later a little explanation on the title and more~

Lyrics, from here, MiNE lyricist has worked before in many songs from j groups, the same goes for Atsushi Shimada.

To the future...

[T/N]: I like the end, the overlapping voices, I have no idea who's singing LOL, I could make a guess though LOL, tbh I've been following Michi since he was a baby back in Haha ni naru, I had no idea of his group, well, back then he wasn't even in a group...and I couldn't picture him dancing and singing, but now I actually like his part in Ubu love a lot, I don't think I'll be able to recognize his parts just yet though XD

- The title, I'll write some rough translations from some news sites,
In the end, the title "Dream I" was decided by Joichiro Fujiwara, a member of Naniwa Danshi who loves baseball.
This time, Naniwa Danshi has been appointed as the "High School Baseball Cheering Squad" for the 103rd National High School Baseball Championship in the summer of 2021, and they have announced that their cheering song "Yume Watashi" will be their theme song.
"Both Japanese and high school baseball players pass on their dreams to their juniors. And each of us has our own dream."
So, the title has both meanings, the "I" (私) as in their dream, and also the "pass on" (渡し) of that dream, that's why I decided to leave the title like it's here.

- I think the lyrics are fitting for a team as well as a Jhonny's group, so I really like them.
There are a couple of instances of singing a word in a different way, just as a way of conveying more meaning, this is a very common resource, but it's hard to show in English.
First, we have "youth" written but pronounced as "era". Later, "youth" was written but read as "light", in this part I wrote the other meaning between brackets.

Overall I just like all the imagery with the sky and the theme of sharing a dream, especially the part in which they mention the hopes/wishes they were entrusted from the ones before them, they received them and those are the hopes/wishes, the dream they're passing on to the next group/team/generation. Seishun~

Last Edit: 25/12 just to add a video, tbh I stopped following the jr channel after SixTONES left for their own channel, plus I can't keep track of everything!! What I mean is that just now, I find out about it and wanted to include it, now I know, at least from this short version, who is singing which part :D
