An update on life, I suppose.
Ah, sorry I never get around to this journal. I do love it more than blogsites and places like Facebook, but I've just had a turbulent holiday season in which I already vented to my friends long ago, so, all is good. Now I am in the hell that is the end of the first semester. And for some reason I always do the worst during the second quarter since that is when I become the most lethargic because of holidays and overall stress, so, I have some backed up work to accomplish today and tomorrow before grades close. orz;;
ANYWAY, some doodle updates~. Getting back into the mood for drawing again, slowly but surely. Thanks to a wonderful friend of mine, I'm going to start finally constructing the script and sketches for my short practice doujinshi this weekend. *-* I am excited. So~. I'm trying to find a style that is somewhat pleasing to me, and here are the fruits of my wasting time. 8D;
Top two are sort of practice in a program I hope to have the license for one day, it makes the best, but still natural looking digital looking pen strokes. *-* It's like working with a more accurate version of a quill pen and India ink! I haven't used one of those in so long, but I prefer them to the marker based art pens by a mile. The program is called Illust Studio~. With the magic of printscreen, I was able to save these two drawings.
Style above is probably going to be for a more mature style of story telling one of these days of the more Asian influence, maybe horror? And the bottom are the kinds I would like to use for Hetalia. Lots of humanly facial contours and angles which I find a hidden inner beauty in anyway (one of the reasons why I think Europeans are so gorgeous), but still mixed with that adorable looking style and hopefully look a little more epic than just these faces, ahaha. ;;;;
PruIta. <3 My ideal guilty pleasure pair! (Does not compete with GerIta though~.) Semester season is stressful, as you can tell how horribly I've drawn their bodies, eww. ;;; So anatomically off and super stiff bodies, but I don't care. ;; Originally it was just their faces, and as you can see, it is the cleanest part of the picture because I sketched it out earlier. *laughs* Ah well, hope you enjoy it anyway.
