The world’s richest 2,153 people controlled more money than the poorest 4.6 billion combined in 2019, the charity Oxfam said on Monday (Jan 20).
It said poor women and girls were at the bottom of the scale..
“The gap between rich and poor can’t be resolved without deliberate inequality-busting policies,”
The world’s billionaires have doubled in the past decade and are richer than 60 per cent of the global population.\
If the world’s richest 1 per cent just paid 0.5 per cent extra tax on their wealth for 10 years, it would equal the investment needed to create 117 million new jobs in elderly and child care, education and health, Oxfam said.
Oxfam’s figures are based on data from Forbes magazine and Swiss bank Credit Suisse,
Women and girls are burdened in particular because they are most often caregivers that keep “the wheels of our economies, businesses and societies moving”, Across the globe, 42 per cent of women cannot get jobs because they are responsible for all the caregiving, compared to just 6 per cent of men,” Oxfam figures showed.

Интересно, что, 3 самых богатых американца имеют состояния, суммарно превышают "состояния" 50% бедного населения страны вместе взятых. “a total of 160 million people or 63 million American households.” Состояния, это не только "зарплата", сюда входят и она, и вложения капитала, и недвижимость, пенсионные откладывания, итп.
К сведению, каждый пятый американец еле-еле сводит концы с концами или даже постоянно "в минусах"
В 2017 году, по подсчетам Форбса, 400 крупнейших миллииардеров США имели "совокупное" состояния, превышающие состояния 64% американской популяции (семей, вместе взятых, считая снизу вверх, ), и большее, чем ВВП Великобритании (за 2017). Не удивительно, если "минимальное" состояние чтобы попасть "в список самых богатых 400", это 2 млрд долларов. в 80х это было 100 млн.
И за последние 30 лет "концентрация" богатств в руках самых богатых- увеличилась.
Согласно данным исследований, совокупные состояния 0.1% самых богатых американцев примерно равны совокупным состояниям 90% "обычных" американцев, считая снизу по распределению состояний.

Так что в целом, распределение "богатств" далеко от гауссовской нормальной, а обострение "неравенства" чревато общественными сотрясениями.
