One of my friends became offended because I expressed my concerns that the wonderful-smelling, albeit feminine apricot hand lotion I always carry around may make others think that I am gay.
But really, I don't know how to phrase it any other way. People are bound to become offended if I use the "G" word in this day in age, where it is assumed to be derogatory.
In the future, when mentioning my female hand lotion, I shall be more choice with my words.
I mean, why say, "This hand lotion makes me smell gay."?
when you can just as easily say,
"I wish to express before the court today my grave concern that the defendant, Sonoma Inn Apricot Hand Lotion, has in the past influenced others' opinions of the prosecutor's sexual leanings and preferences in a manner that has proven maladaptive to both his function in society and his love life."
I don't know how any horrible person could use the "G" word when it's as simple as a hop, skip, and a jump to an easier, less judgmental future!
Oh, and a message to Dave; I absolutely adore that new purse. It looks fabulous on you.
