Long weekend. Friday night, we had roberta's gig in bumble. I was coming from downtown, so it was just shy of 3 hours of traveling just to get there. but, they did have cupcakes when we got there. afterwords, it was the costume party at joe's. spent the first hour without a costume, then colette finally arrived with my grass skirt and coconut bra. jello shots were good, but very strong. a bit of advice. never do a brain tumor. its terrible. absolutely terrible. the party in general was all good fun, more or less. it felt like it was maybe an hour and a half of so long, though. and i passed out early. very uncharacteristic. but, i woke up with a blanket and a pillow, so, it couldnt have been that bad. this is what happens when there is no drama. i associate the party with nothing, and it soon slips from memory. but, there were things that made it memorable. one of those things was not kati waking us all up coming down in the morning, yelling about advil or some such. things like that i want to forget. got up into milwaukee for the gig after figuring out new directions, because noel's were wrong, at about 3. set up, played at 7, baal tinne at 8, then spent far too much time getting everything disassembled. didnt leave till about 11:30, and joe was pretty drunk, so i had to drive his car back. got some free haggis before we left. wasnt too bad. at least now I can say I've eaten it. got back at about quarter to 1, to colette and kati drunk-ish in my front room "just chatting". i had work this morning at 8, but thanks to DST, i got an extra hour of sleep, which was nice. My plan is either to get student housing next year, or get an apartment, which means i'm going to have to go hunting for a place and roommates. I have at my disposal a full pop vending machine. I was thinking about maybe putting it in my room, but, its god awful heavy, and big. and I dont drink that much pop, anyway. So i'm thinking I'll find some place to put it to earn some extra cash. or, I can fill it with coke, strap it to my back, and follow joe around. "lady, he's putting my kid through college" ah, hot dog guy.... he's second only to squeaky voiced teen (aisling's future husband). alright kids, i've been adding bits to this over about 3 hours, so, forgive me if its a bit fragmented.
