1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Wrote and recorded an entire album of music. Played a show in New York City.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Last year I said I wanted to go to the gym more, which I did *not* do. My goal this year is to see more local bands in NYC.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No one close enough that I needed to attend the funeral. But several close enough that I felt the shockwave.
5. What countries did you visit?
Plans for Spain did not work out. So I was restricted to the several countries that are New York City.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A deeper connection to the local music scene.
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 28th -- the day I mailed my completed record to the RPM Challenge
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Starting a new band, creating new music, playing a show in New York. Basically, asserting myself as a musician.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not taking more advantage of all this city has to offer.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Started the year with some nasty back spasms, ending the year with weird popping in my throat. Thankfully pretty healthy in between.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Strong tie between my iPhone (I can know longer remember what life was like without it) and my home studio, which saw a tremendous amount of use all year!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Linda! For taking career lemons and making lemon fucking champagne out of them! Several freinds for serious career boosts! Marissa and Jon for taking the brave step toward parenthood!

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The government, per usual. My brother. Linda's old boss.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent. food, drink, musical gear. But I did save more than I ever have! Too bad the stock market suck.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Joining a new band!
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder?
Happier. I'm always happier when I'm making music.
ii. Thinner or fatter?
Why is there no option for "musclier" or "more strapping"? I mean, I'm not, but that would be my goal.
iii. richer or poorer?
Richer, but only because I'm forcing myself to save more.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Going out to see bands.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Randomly surfing the internet.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
You're suppose to fill this out BEFORE Christmas? I spent it in Ohio. It was stressful.
23. How many one-night stands?
I tend to spend my nights lying down.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
Current shows: Doctor Who, Heroes
On DVD: Six Feet Under and Firefly
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope, no hate, though I feel like I was disappointed by some, I've forgotten it all by now.
26. What was the best book you read?
The final Harry Potter books was excellent, also got around to reading Catch-22 which was as amazing as everyone said it would be. The new Buffy comics are pretty darn good as well.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
When the dust cleared, Fujiya and Miyagi -- though D.A.N.C.E by Justice is definitely song of the year.
28. What did you want and get?
A band.
29. What was your favourite film of this year?
"King of Kong" was amazing.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 33. Drinks at Abilene's followed by much Wii Sports (my present from Linda).
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Pajama-centric, 'stache-tastic.
34. What kept you sane?
Making music.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Fancy? None off the top of my head.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I'm not often stirred by politics, but the continuing power grab by the executive branch ofr government disturbs me, as does the minority party's willingness to let it continue because "it might be useful later".
37. Who did you miss?
My Boston friends, my Florida friends, my California friends, my Ohio friends...
38. Who was the best new person you met?
My new bandmates! Especially Dana.

If a path seems difficult, check to make sure there isn't another, easier path to the same place.
