NCAA Football action Saturday night!

The Virginia Tech (3) versus Miami (5) game is coming up in just a few minutes! I'm pretty stoked about this since these two teams are up there as far as the best in the ACC. VT is going into this game with one of the best defenses in the nation, but Miami currently holds it and is currently on top at No. 1. Both teams also have some of the best special teams as well, so I think this game is gonna be an exciting one. The Miami Hurricanes are coming in as the underdogs, since they're having to play at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia, home to the Hokies. And VT doesn't lose at home very often, I think twice in the past 4 seasons. izuko is at Lane Stadium tonight and is gonna be watching this game live, since he has season tickets with the Hokies. Maybe I'll try to lookout for him on TV lol, NOT. That place is gonna be packed, probably will have well over 60,000 on hand. I'll be wearing my Hokie hat the whole time too and will be rooting for them from my apartment, watching the game on ESPN. I'm really hoping they pull this off, that way it will give them a clear shot at going to the BCS championship game. If Miami loses, it will shatter their chance at having a shot at the title, so the pressure is on for them. I seriously doubt Miami will go down easily too. In my opinion, I wouldn't be surprised if they do win, since they're looking for revenge from last season's lost to the Hokies. This game is HUGE for both teams. This is definitely is a heated rivalry! Virginia Tech is coming into this game undefeated (8-0), while Miami (6-1) is coming into this game with only one loss, and that was to Florida State (9) on their very first game of the season.

In other football action, NC State defeated Florida State (9) 20-15 at Tallahasee. That was a huge upset for the Seminoles, which is their only loss of the season to an unranked team. NC State is now 4-4 while Florida State dropped down to 7-2 tonight. Gotta hand it to Chuck Amato though and his Wolfpack. And since NC State is just right down the road from where I live, that is technically my home team. I'm gald they won the game, they deserved it the way they played tonight.

The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated Mississippi State tonight, shut them out 17-0. And Alabama is ranked number 5th in the nation, and they are only one of five ACC teams that are still undefeated (9-0). As you can all tell, I'm a Crimson Tide fan because of course I was born in Alabama. ;)

Well here goes opening kick-off for the VT and Miami game. Go HOKIES!!!!!
