Chuck is David Hewlett's stand in actually.
If I remember rightly from what he said at Pegasus 3.

Again purely from what I remember but I think they tried Chuck as Joe's stand in originally but that was changed.

(There was an unfortunate spray tan story in there somewhere....)

Chuck Campbell has always been David Hewlett's stand in, until the crew decided they liked him on screen, so they have him do both.

I don't know if anyone knows this already, but Chuck was originally David's stand in. Then they put him on screen and he also stood in for Joe and even Kavan sometimes. He also reads the lines to the actors out of camera as well.

Does it matter what he's doing there? He's just there!

Oh - he reads lines off screen as well and that is why they wanted him to be on the show, he puts so much into it. I too have no Chuck icon - need to make.....

Chuck is so useful on the show ! ^^ They can't do anything without him.
Now I have a Chuck icon, I needed it too !
