This comment had me shaking my head in agreement. "you know how your body is fine when you're in overdrive, but the moment you relax, your body just kind of breaks down?" Exactly and so well written. I feel like that sometimes too.

Ohh about the baking....that's the hard part about cooking overseas. If I were in the US, I'd run down to the store and buy some baking soda, powder etc. But here, things aren't always so readily available. Bummer.

Anything you plan to bring from Taipei food wise, for when you move to Japan next year? I ask because if I were to move to another country, I know there would be at least 3 things from Japan I'd have to bring with me.

just be careful with baking powder and soda, I found out early just that one extra teaspoon will pretty much ruin the whole batch, makes it all bitter.
