gah.. trouble with baby wrap

Mar 24, 2008 23:23

ever since i made myself a baby wrap, i've been practicing the different carries styled for the wrap. there are tons of people who demo the different wraps you can do on youtube, and there are a few that i really wanna do with Kay right now because she's getting too heavy to carry in the front anymore. i've been watching almost all the clips of people doing the rucksack carry and the back carry, because i've never been able to do it right. the only carry that i've been able to do is the hike hold taught on the moby wrap site, but i don't think i did it right because it always feels like she's going to fall out... i wonder if it's because my wrap isn't wide enough... when i bought the fabric, it was already 20" wide, but it can stretch up to 24", which is how wide a moby wrap is. i guess maybe stretching isn't the way to go if you want a secure back wrap... gah.. guess i'll just have to wear her in front when i'm walking around the streets of Japan. talk about testing my endurance...

anyway... we discovered an eslite bookstore near the Ding Hsi metro station. here's a clip of Kay blabbering away in her daddy's arms :)
