six month Kay
as said earlier, i gave Kay a small haircut. well, i trimmed her bangs 'cause they were becoming a pain. this morning when she woke me up, i was relieved to see that i didn't do that bad of a job. she now looks like chibi maruko-chan, or that's what Saito-san says :D he absolutely adores her new bangs!
other than that, i also got a haircut today. i downgraded from my usual NT$1000 cut to a NT$100 cut at a 10-min. cuttery though. i've been wanting to cut my hair, but never got around to it because of Kay. so, today when my sis went with me to run a few errands, we passed by a 10-min NT$100 hair cuttery that was in the MRT station. she thought it was amusing and suggested that i go and get my hair cut there. i was pretty apprehensive about it at first, but she pressured me into doing it. i figured that it's the most practical thing i could do in my situation.
so i slid my 100 into the machine, got a number card and waited for my turn. there were quite a few people in line and most of them were either old ladies or little kids... there was only one hair dresser so i ended up having to wait a while. i just wanted my hair cut short again (apparently i look better with cropped hair according to my sister...), like it was right before Kay was born. so it didn't require much styling. after 10 minutes, i was done! it wasn't that bad either. a little rough with the layering though, but i'm already planning on getting a salon style cut in May before i go to Japan anyway. all in all, was a fun experience.
