I was watching TV as usual when a commercial of Red Ribbon flashed on screen. They were advertising their new line up of mousse cakes. I started to crave for mousse cake. Every chance I got I tried to buy one but never was able to. So finally one lazy afternoon, I just decided to make my own. Armed with a recipe I got off the vast VAST net, I trotted off to the nearest grocery, (which was leonardo's btw) and bought some of the stuff I needed to make my chocolate mousse. It was an ok try I guess. See for yourself...
For People who want the recipe to this here it is:
For the Cake:
1/2 Cup Butter
1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Dutch processed cocoa
3 eggs, separated
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
For the Mousse:
1 1/2 cups All-purpose Cream, divided. 1 cup to chilled solid
1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 eggs separated
1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
3 tablespoons cold water
1/3 cup sugar
For the Topping (optional):
1 table spoon cocoa powder
3 tablespoons powdered sugar divided
1/2 cup all-purpose cream chilled
