Somehow I've been feeling rather free ever since the end of my CB quiz, which is really a screwed-up feeling to have as I've actually have a shit load of projects to do. Not to mention my backlog in work, as well as other stuff. But I guess it's great that I'm not feeling too stressed out.. right? HAHA. Anyway, here goes:
Week 7
It was a very normal Sunday, followed by MR meeting at night.
Week 8
RECESS WEEK OFFICIALLY STARTS!!!!!!!!!! Had FIIM meeting on Monday morning in school, before heading to Bedok to meet Piggy for lunch. It was my first time there, and my first time trying mutton soup, and it tasted pretty good!! Did some grocery shopping (aka snacks so we could pig out as always HAHAHAHA), before heading over to Crowne Plaza for our well-deserved break :) The hotel was really super nice, and the room was pretty damn awesome. Thanks to some connections, we managed to get the room for a really great price hehehe. Went for a swim, and the pool was really pretty!! :) After washing up, headed over to Changi for dinner @ Soup Restaurant. We ordered the set meal for two and OMG, the food was really awesome!!!!!! I especially liked the samsui ginger chicken, soup, and tofu dishes! Btw, I think my stomach has shunk. Cos even when I'm starving right before a meal, I eat a lot less as compared to the past before I would feel pretty stuffed. I couldnt finish my share of dinner even though I was super hungry right before the meal!!!!!! :O
I totally felt like I had to walk off the food, so we went to explore the airport tourist-style hehehe. I went to the aviation gallery at both T2 and T3 for the first time, and it was alot less cool than I envisioned it to be. Thought it would be an open-air concept and we'd be able to watch planes take off every 5 minutes but that wasnt to be. HOWEVER, there were loads of airplane- and airport- related fun facts and it was interesting reading all of them. BUT the highlight of going to the aviation gallery has got to be the two of us being total kids and reading instructions written on the wall on how to fold different paper airplanes AND actually folding each one AND subsequently competing with each other, throwing planes around the whole place. We even tried throwing the planes down some escalator HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA. When our interest in throwing planes waned, we headed off to explore other parts of the airport.
Amidst our exploration, I spotted loads of signs mentioning "The Slide @ T3" which was apparently the tallest slide in the world. Obviously my curiousity was piqued, and I totally bugged Piggy to go check it out with me. We were at Basement 2 and happy to discover that it was free for the public. However, this happiness was pretty short-lived cos somehow the automated door wouldnt open for us :( After spending some time thinking of ways to get ourselves at the other side of the door, we failed and decided to give up. Until...
PIGGY REMEMBERED THAT WE'D SPENT 50 BUCKS FOR DINNER AND EVERY $10 SPENT ENTITLED US TO 1 FREE RIDE DOWN THE SLIDE. AND FROM LEVEL 1!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!
Omg we were seriously ecstatic and rushed to redeem our 5 coupons!!! Frick it was damn fun sliding down thrice each (cos we totally snuck in together for the fifth coupon) from Level 1, but was that enough for us?
No....
We each had to try the Basement 2 slide as well hahahahahahhaa. Anyway, I realise we're really too old for fun. After that whole excitement, we were both damn bloody exhausted!!
Checked out some aviation exhibition, before going back to our room for some chill out snacking + wine + tv and discovery channel + talked the night away. Only have 1 photo cos of an unfortunate event, but oh wells :/
(Btw digress a little, but I cant believe I blogged that in such excruciating detail :O It's as if I dont have loads of projects due and exams in a month. But anyway, moving on..)
Even though the bed was very comfy, I somehow couldnt sleep :'( Was really damn tired out on Tuesday when I woke up :'( Checked out, and had brunch with Piggy and Eileen before he headed home for a nap, Eileen headed back to work, and I headed to school to kill time before CB meeting :'(
Wednesday was MR meeting in the morning. Was struck with something really horrible and I'm just glad it's over and I hope I never get it again for the rest of my life. Went home to rest after the meeting, before heading out again for Lion King @ MBS with Piggy. The two of us had this whole idea to dress up and be damn atas because we were going to MBS, and he was decked out in a blazer and it was my Rj prom dress for me HAHHAHAHAHAHA. Anyway, Lion King was really awesome!!! Those who havent caught it yet should do so soon, I think this week's their last run before the cast flies somewhere else! The costumes were amazing and everything was totally like the cartoon. And our seats were pretty near the stage, so it felt even better :D Get Cat B everyone!!!! Anyway, hung out abit after that, before I headed home for some rest. I was really pretty tired, and I still cant believe I had 4 meetings in 4 consecutive days to start off my recess week. BUT I daresay Crowne Plaza and Lion King more than made up for it cos it was actually the first time in a long time that I'd really had guilt-free fun :)
Spent my Thursday sleeping in and chilling out at home, before Samba Handover at night. Actually I've nothing much to say about the handover, what should be said has already been said I guess haha. Here're some photos anyway:
Went to school on Friday, was alone for awhile before I met Piggy. Headed over to meet Denise, Nicole, Mel, Joshua and Gary for dinner at V8. Food was pretty good, and all of us - Gary + Victor headed over for some dessert @ Ah Chew's after that. Went over to Blujaz with some other Samba people to catch Voo Doo and Wicked Aura perform. Hadnt hung out with Joy in a pretty long while, and it was great seeing her that night!!!! Oh yeah, it was really a downright bitch trying to flag a cab from the Bugis area that night. Really hate how you can never find any cabs when you need one, but when you dont, they're everywhere. Anyway, pigged out on crabs my dad brought back from Long Beach while watching the Hannah Montanah Movie (please dont judge hahahaha) when I reached home and that was a pretty nice way to end the night!
Had to wake up at the ungodly hour of 6am+ on Saturday for Grab, Huck, Score. I was totally reluctant to go play for it to be honest, but couldnt pangseh cos Bong would kill me and I'd feel damn paiseh if I ever see Joshua around school hahahaha. Anyway, those who know me would know that I suck really bad at frisbee (cant throw or catch a frisbee for nuts) and thus I dont like the game. I guess I only agreed to play in the first place in a bid to exercise more and stay fit. My team was called Captain America, and consisted of Bong, Joshua, Jingwei, Seumas, Dewi, Jaime, Ben and myself. Practiced throwing and catching abit before the games started, and OMG I was quite proud of myself. That day marked the first time EVER I could throw and catch properly!!! Kudos to the guys in my group, they're really awesome teachers! They're apparently very very pro frisbee players btw!!
Well, we won every game that day but lost 5-4 in the finals :( It was a really really tight match and if it had gone on longer, we might have had a chance of winning. Besides gaining the hard skill of learning how to play frisbee, joining Grab Huck Score was a great eye-opener for me because unlike any other sport I've played, they really emphasize team spirit instead of winning. No joke!!!!! Not only is every game self-ref, after every game played, both competing teams would gather together in a circle and take turns to comment on what the other team could've improved on, what they were good at, how they enjoyed playing with each other, wished each other all the best for the remaining games, and so on. And it was really like that for every game we played - no competitive spirit at all - except the one against the school frisbee freshmen team and finals. I guess for the former, it was really because they were new to the sport and the whole team spirit thing wasnt ingrained in them yet. And for the latter, even though there was some competitiveness from the other team, their sportsmanship really shone through in the end. This was really unexpected and enlightening for me!!!! I think during the whole event, only Bong and I really wanted to win the prize money HAHAHHAHHAHAA. Overall, it was a good experience and I like frisbee more than i ever did in my entire life!! Though I think I'll still stick to ball sports haha. Oh yes, the guys in my team were really SUPER nice and gentlemanly as well :):)
Headed to school to shower after that, and met Jenard for dinner @ Wild Honey!!! Always wanted to try that place but never did cos I never got the chance to. Food was pretty good, though I think I still prefer Antoinette! I was rather surprised that the place used iPads as their menu btw. What has technology done to us :O Walked over to H&M for awhile after that before meeting my parents to go home!
Sunday was the usual church, then lunch @ Maxwell, Novena Square then AMK Hub with the family!
And that, marked the end of my recess week and one-quarter of my third year as an undergrad. I honestly took this week as a real recess week and played a hell lot without doing any work except my CB interview report (which, btw, took ages to complete). Somehow the second half of the week zoomed by super quickly and before I knew it, Sunday had come. I was quite glad for the break though, cos I was experiencing pretty high stress before that. I had really great and ambitious plans to catch up on all my work and backlog, read ahead, do all my projects, do apps, clean my room, exercise and all, but...... oh wells hahahaha.
Week 9
Monday was double lessons, and library with Piggy and Joy after that. Had dinner with them too, before Piggy left for class and Christy and ZM joined us. It was great stuff talking to my seniors, and the fact that gossip spreads really fast never fails to surprise me time and time again hahahahaha.
It was lesson again on Tuesday, followed by library with OPY and CJ. Went for dinner @ Thai Express with Piggy, which was really great as usual :D We shared our food so we both got to eat beef noodles and soft shell crab!!! ALSO, we had fried mars balls!!!!!!! Btw, Piggy hadnt tried fried mars balls before that day. WTH right?!?!?! I discovered it in RG and that was sec school!!!!! Hehe I havent eaten them in damn long, and really missed doing so!!!! That really brightened up my day, and it wasnt so dreary heading back to school again for FIIM meeting :)
Decided to stay at home on Wedneday, though I had dinner @ Casurina with my mom and bro at night!!
Had lessons as usual on Thursday, then it was library with Gary and Jac!
Was in the library again on Friday. Btw, I could've gone for the school's Oktoberfest but didnt because I decided to study for FIIM midterm sigh. Thank god the decision to do so paid off omg. Anyway, it was dinner @ Miss Clarity with Piggy!! Happy 8 months :))))))))))
Saturday was FIIM midterms and I finished the 2 hour paper in 30mins hahaha. Decided to do the whole paper twice more before submitting it. Honestly, I'm very very scared of finals since the whole world says no other component matters and finals is the differentiating factor AND it's gonna be mega tough. It's damn shit that I cant find any sample or past papers sigh. Whoever's reading this, if you have sample FIIM papers please share with me I'll be eternally grateful to you!! Actually, if you have MR or CB or EF sample papers I'll be even more grateful to you!! PLEASE SHARE!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, it was lunch then library with OPY and her friend, before going off for CB meeting in the late afternoon. Went off to Esplanade and MBS with the mom and bro after that :) I think the water show thing at MBS was not bad!! It was different from the old musical fountain in sentosa, but since the MBS one is free, I'm not one to complain haha.
Sunday was church then ba kut teh lunch hehehehe yumz!!!!! Headed over to Li Ka Shing with Piggy, and ended the night off with soufflé and milkshake @ Max Brenner YUMZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! :') I really love eating with Piggy btw, cos when he's excited and raves about food it's damn funny and cute haha.
Week 10
It was lessons on Monday, then Li Ka Shing with Cel :)
Tuesday was lessons then Li Ka Shing with Piggy.
Wednesday was FP&A meeting in the morning, then met my dad for lunch during his lunch break (so cute right hehehehe) then Li Ka Shing with Gongkia and Piggy. Finally satisfied Piggy's Garretts craving btw!! :)
Lessons on Thursday and by the time both lessons were done I was mentally drained. And I dont think I did very well for the CB quiz (PUN ON CB HELL YEAH) zzzzz I hope somehow I manage to pull though the mod as a whole. Really thought this would be my best mod this sem but it seems like my worst now :/ Marketing's damn competitive zzzzzzz what a bitch. Because I was brain dead, ended up watching My Best Friend's Girl with Gary in the library to kill time before MR meeting in the evening.
Friday was EF meeting in the afternoon, followed by Li Ka Shing with Piggy. Met Addy and Geri to write letters and finalise Athena's birthday present, before we all met to have dinner @ Black Sheep Cafe, which was a quaint French restaurant cos Athena was craving French food! We ordered damn alot omg: pan seared foie gras, caesar salad with garlic prawns, baked brie cheese, daily soup of mushroom soup, 2x duck confit with apple rosti, crispy pork cheeks, the black sheep shank, souffle, tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake.
Food was pretty good and the place was cosy! Athena loved her two presents btw woohoo!!!!!! :DD
Jared came to pick everyone up, and dropped Addy, Geri and I at school while he sent Athena home.

Cos actually Jared had masterminded a surprise birthday party at his place!! The moment we got dropped off at school, we rushed off to Bruno's waiting car and it was a race against time to reach Jared's before Jared and Athena did! All was successful and our dearest princess chew got a 21st birthday surprise!!!! Much loveeeee :) It was also nice seeing and talking to the Rj people!!
Went over to Piggy's place after that and it was great spending the night talking away. Even when I eventually went home after that, we just HAD to continue talking on the phone hahahaha.
It was my dad's company's family day @ Siloso Beach, Sentosa on Saturday. Whole day was pretty alright, though I was pretty surprised at the mix of people there. Oh yes, I practically spent the whole day eating!!! Hehe I also got some caricature of me drawn, but I dont really think it looks like me :/

Double lessons on Monday, then Li Ka Shing with Piggy. The library is really getting increasingly packed, and it doesnt help that the school has rented out the 5th level for a week -.- Went for the Citi Forex Challenge briefing with Xie after that @ Singapore Conference Hall. Yikes I think we're both gonna get owned during the qualifiers this Saturday, and only 8 out of 50 will qualify for the finals, so friggin screwed hahahhaha. But I guess it should be a good learning experience! Oh yes on the way home with Xie and Nic, some lady asked Nic if he wanted her to give up her seat for me cos

Because it was Deepavali on Wednesday and no student could book GSRs + the library was closed, coupled with the fact that it's week 11 and crunch time for projects, there were students having meetings and/or studying in all GSRs + corridors + tables/benches + any other available space because practically the whole student population was in school. I had an FP&A meeting at 930am in school, and not a single GSR was available in SOB. Now that is just insane. Anyway, went for lunch with Remi, and I was thereafter stationed at one of the benches along an SOB corridor with my eyes glued to my computer screen for the next 10 hours haha.
Thursday was just double lessons, then rushed home to take a 4 hour nap woohoo!!!!! It was especially shiok as it was raining!!
Had an EF meeting on Friday then it was library then dinner with Piggy and Gongkia then library again all the way (no-lifer zzzzzz).
Had to wake up mother early on Saturday for the Citi Forex Challenge with Xie. We were abit apprehensive cos we were noobs and really just there for the experience and to hopefully learn more about fore. Thus it was pretty cool when we were the top 8 of our qualifying round of 50 teams and could compete in the finals HAHA. We were really lucky though, and mainly capitalised on the inefficient market to make >$300k. Went back to school to chill out, before going back to Asia Square for the finals. Unfortunately, we got thoroughly owned but managed to cut losses. I darent share with you how much we lost though if you ask me I will tell you hahahaha. It was a pretty fun experience and I actually think forex is interesting!!!! Majorly stressful though. Headed back to school for CB meeting, then hung out with Piggy after that.
Omg I was really so so sooooo tiired at the end of the day. Actually, I've been superbly tired the past few days cos I havent been able to sleep in and keep having to wake up early the next day due to meetings or lessons :(
Sunday was spent at home fretting about projects. That effectively means very little sleep btw. My eyes were glued on my laptop screen for >12hours it was really damn bad :'(
Week 12
Monday was tiring and stressful omg. Was MR then submission of EF project then library and dinner with Piggy then FIIM rehearsal.
And so, Tuesday marked my first presentation for this sem. In my opinion, I was sub-standard BUT it could've been worse considering the little preparation I did.

Had lunch with OPY, Julian and Viv which was fun and a nice way to destress, before it was library with Julian. PLUS, I only got 3 mods for bidding urghxz should've been 4 but because of carelessness on my part I didnt get Envir Sci. I BETTER GET IT NEXT WINDOW OMG. Thereafter, it was CB meeting at night.
And so, Wednesday was spent at FP&A meeting in the morning. Met my mom for lunch and to cut hair (yes I have short hair again) and then it was back home for a 1-hour nap!!! Went back to school for CB meeting after that!
CB presentation on today and it was so-so I guess. Omg I really need to somehow buck up for everything zzzzzz been feeling too slack as of late. Hung with Gary and Nicole @ Li Ka Shing after that before going home.

I had really great and ambitious plans to catch up on all my work and backlog, read ahead, do all my projects, do apps, clean my room, exercise and all, but...... oh wells hahahaha.
Week 9
Monday was double lessons, and library with Piggy and Joy after that. Had dinner with them too, before Piggy left for class and Christy and ZM joined us. It was great stuff talking to my seniors, and the fact that gossip spreads really fast never fails to surprise me time and time again hahahahaha.
It was lesson again on Tuesday, followed by library with OPY and CJ. Went for dinner @ Thai Express with Piggy, which was really great as usual :D We shared our food so we both got to eat beef noodles and soft shell crab!!! ALSO, we had fried mars balls!!!!!!! Btw, Piggy hadnt tried fried mars balls before that day. WTH right?!?!?! I discovered it in RG and that was sec school!!!!! Hehe I havent eaten them in damn long, and really missed doing so!!!! That really brightened up my day, and it wasnt so dreary heading back to school again for FIIM meeting :)
Decided to stay at home on Wedneday, though I had dinner @ Casurina with my mom and bro at night!!
Had lessons as usual on Thursday, then it was library with Gary and Jac!
Was in the library again on Friday. Btw, I could've gone for the school's Oktoberfest but didnt because I decided to study for FIIM midterm sigh. Thank god the decision to do so paid off omg. Anyway, it was dinner @ Miss Clarity with Piggy!! Happy 8 months :))))))))))
Saturday was FIIM midterms and I finished the 2 hour paper in 30mins hahaha. Decided to do the whole paper twice more before submitting it. Honestly, I'm very very scared of finals since the whole world says no other component matters and finals is the differentiating factor AND it's gonna be mega tough. It's damn shit that I cant find any sample or past papers sigh. Whoever's reading this, if you have sample FIIM papers please share with me I'll be eternally grateful to you!! Actually, if you have MR or CB or EF sample papers I'll be even more grateful to you!! PLEASE SHARE!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, it was lunch then library with OPY and her friend, before going off for CB meeting in the late afternoon. Went off to Esplanade and MBS with the mom and bro after that :) I think the water show thing at MBS was not bad!! It was different from the old musical fountain in sentosa, but since the MBS one is free, I'm not one to complain haha.
Sunday was church then ba kut teh lunch hehehehe yumz!!!!! Headed over to Li Ka Shing with Piggy, and ended the night off with soufflé and milkshake @ Max Brenner YUMZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! :') I really love eating with Piggy btw, cos when he's excited and raves about food it's damn funny and cute haha.
Week 10
It was lessons on Monday, then Li Ka Shing with Cel :)
Tuesday was lessons then Li Ka Shing with Piggy.
Wednesday was FP&A meeting in the morning, then met my dad for lunch during his lunch break (so cute right hehehehe) then Li Ka Shing with Gongkia and Piggy. Finally satisfied Piggy's Garretts craving btw!! :)
Lessons on Thursday and by the time both lessons were done I was mentally drained. And I dont think I did very well for the CB quiz (PUN ON CB HELL YEAH) zzzzz I hope somehow I manage to pull though the mod as a whole. Really thought this would be my best mod this sem but it seems like my worst now :/ Marketing's damn competitive zzzzzzz what a bitch. Because I was brain dead, ended up watching My Best Friend's Girl with Gary in the library to kill time before MR meeting in the evening.
Friday was EF meeting in the afternoon, followed by Li Ka Shing with Piggy. Met Addy and Geri to write letters and finalise Athena's birthday present, before we all met to have dinner @ Black Sheep Cafe, which was a quaint French restaurant cos Athena was craving French food! We ordered damn alot omg: pan seared foie gras, caesar salad with garlic prawns, baked brie cheese, daily soup of mushroom soup, 2x duck confit with apple rosti, crispy pork cheeks, the black sheep shank, souffle, tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake.
Food was pretty good and the place was cosy! Athena loved her two presents btw woohoo!!!!!! :DD
Jared came to pick everyone up, and dropped Addy, Geri and I at school while he sent Athena home.
Or so Athena thought...
Cos actually Jared had masterminded a surprise birthday party at his place!! The moment we got dropped off at school, we rushed off to Bruno's waiting car and it was a race against time to reach Jared's before Jared and Athena did! All was successful and our dearest princess chew got a 21st birthday surprise!!!! Much loveeeee :) It was also nice seeing and talking to the Rj people!!
Went over to Piggy's place after that and it was great spending the night talking away. Even when I eventually went home after that, we just HAD to continue talking on the phone hahahaha.
It was my dad's company's family day @ Siloso Beach, Sentosa on Saturday. Whole day was pretty alright, though I was pretty surprised at the mix of people there. Oh yes, I practically spent the whole day eating!!! Hehe I also got some caricature of me drawn, but I dont really think it looks like me :/
Sunday was church then lunch @ Old Airport then CB meeting then Li Ka Shing with Piggy!
Week 11
Double lessons on Monday, then Li Ka Shing with Piggy. The library is really getting increasingly packed, and it doesnt help that the school has rented out the 5th level for a week -.- Went for the Citi Forex Challenge briefing with Xie after that @ Singapore Conference Hall. Yikes I think we're both gonna get owned during the qualifiers this Saturday, and only 8 out of 50 will qualify for the finals, so friggin screwed hahahhaha. But I guess it should be a good learning experience! Oh yes on the way home with Xie and Nic, some lady asked Nic if he wanted her to give up her seat for me cos

Tuesday was FIIM lesson, then Li Ka Shing with OPY, then a short dinner with Piggy, then FIIM meeting, then Li Ka Shing with Piggy!
Because it was Deepavali on Wednesday and no student could book GSRs + the library was closed, coupled with the fact that it's week 11 and crunch time for projects, there were students having meetings and/or studying in all GSRs + corridors + tables/benches + any other available space because practically the whole student population was in school. I had an FP&A meeting at 930am in school, and not a single GSR was available in SOB. Now that is just insane. Anyway, went for lunch with Remi, and I was thereafter stationed at one of the benches along an SOB corridor with my eyes glued to my computer screen for the next 10 hours haha.
Thursday was just double lessons, then rushed home to take a 4 hour nap woohoo!!!!! It was especially shiok as it was raining!!
Had an EF meeting on Friday then it was library then dinner with Piggy and Gongkia then library again all the way (no-lifer zzzzzz).
Had to wake up mother early on Saturday for the Citi Forex Challenge with Xie. We were abit apprehensive cos we were noobs and really just there for the experience and to hopefully learn more about fore. Thus it was pretty cool when we were the top 8 of our qualifying round of 50 teams and could compete in the finals HAHA. We were really lucky though, and mainly capitalised on the inefficient market to make >$300k. Went back to school to chill out, before going back to Asia Square for the finals. Unfortunately, we got thoroughly owned but managed to cut losses. I darent share with you how much we lost though if you ask me I will tell you hahahaha. It was a pretty fun experience and I actually think forex is interesting!!!! Majorly stressful though. Headed back to school for CB meeting, then hung out with Piggy after that.
Omg I was really so so sooooo tiired at the end of the day. Actually, I've been superbly tired the past few days cos I havent been able to sleep in and keep having to wake up early the next day due to meetings or lessons :(
Sunday was spent at home fretting about projects. That effectively means very little sleep btw. My eyes were glued on my laptop screen for >12hours it was really damn bad :'(
Week 12
Monday was tiring and stressful omg. Was MR then submission of EF project then library and dinner with Piggy then FIIM rehearsal.
And so, Tuesday marked my first presentation for this sem. In my opinion, I was sub-standard BUT it could've been worse considering the little preparation I did.

Had lunch with OPY, Julian and Viv which was fun and a nice way to destress, before it was library with Julian. PLUS, I only got 3 mods for bidding urghxz should've been 4 but because of carelessness on my part I didnt get Envir Sci. I BETTER GET IT NEXT WINDOW OMG. Thereafter, it was CB meeting at night.
And so, Wednesday was spent at FP&A meeting in the morning. Met my mom for lunch and to cut hair (yes I have short hair again) and then it was back home for a 1-hour nap!!! Went back to school for CB meeting after that!
CB presentation on today and it was so-so I guess. Omg I really need to somehow buck up for everything zzzzzz been feeling too slack as of late. Hung with Gary and Nicole @ Li Ka Shing after that before going home.
