I found a good dorkily friend from okc- so I'm about to go with her to see the 5th Harry Potter movie at some place thats showing it for free (?)- this is the movie before the current one, I havent seen either. I told her I never saw this one and she suggested it, so I said sure, it will at least keep up my "dork cred"- to which she replied that my dork cred will "never, ever be in question", haha. Fair enough. Well, I beat her at monopoly anyway. Its nearly impossible for gentiles to beat a jew at money-based games
Apparently my new boss (who I've worked with as a coworker for a year, and he's completely laid back) said I might want to watch my sarcasm, and at least use "nice sarcasm" where I actually smile as I say it so the guest knows I'm being sarcastic. Personally, I like my previous version of saying ridiculous/sarcastic things with a straight face, and usually the guest takes me seriously. We'll see. The following conversation is one of my favorites though, especially cause I can do it completely straight faced:
"Hello, do you have any-"
"No, sorry, we are all out, unfortunately"
*awkward pause*
