Aftershock

When I showed up at Tony's front door today, his brother came out and looked at my car and kept saying, "man you are lucky, man you could have died and then no more chee." A Broken driver side window, A long, deep, black dent streaking across the side of my beautiful red acura integra, and my disheveled appearance could all have attributed to this response, but I think what warranted Robert's concern was when I told him that the bumper of the 16 year old assailant's ford explorer was what broke my window and the only thing between me and 3500 pounds of metal and rubber was a few chards of safety glass and medium plastic tint. Aye. I never thought about maybe being dead when it happened- the most prevalent thing on my mind was to get my little sister out of there and to her last final at school. Thats where I was headed- to take my little sister to school.

Its been almost 11 hours since this happened, but only now am I feeling the pain of the impact on the left side of my body. Oich, it hurts. But Im sure some of you can relate to the strangeness of what I am talking about. So that was my day. And its strange how my entire day... happened in a matter of seconds.
