Bossypants ~ Tina Fey

I like Tina Fey, but I live in a bubble so I'm sure she has bigger fans than me. I am a fan. I felt privileged to get to read her memoir and learn how she became Tina Fey, what it's like to be Tina Fey, and little anecdotes from the life of Tina Fey. I appreciated how so much of her book was about her gratitude and admiration for other writers and comedians. I especially adored her outpourings of love for Amy Poehler. I reveled in stories about 30 Rock and playing Sarah Palin. And to cap it off, I admired her chapter long panic attack over what she should be doing with her life right at the moment. It was very personal and intimate, in a way most memoirs never really are. Most of all, this book was funny. If you're reading it with someone else in the room, you'll have to read it aloud. I know Tina Fey studied her craft, practices it, and perfects it; but her seemingly effortless funniness flows easily, and it's an absolute joy to read. I eagerly anticipate the next one.
